  • The normal 3D hole tool typically works with perpendicular drilled holes normal to the face, this guide explains how to create a hole at an alternative angle and the cleanup required at the end. #Autodesk #Inventor #Tutorial #3DCAD #Design #Engineering #CAD

Thank you. Your method is very straight forward and fairly quick.

thanks for the videos, the hole is an angled hole if it involves 1 angle, it is a compound angle if it involves 2 angles. sorry for the critique because I like all your videos due mostly for your humour and fun way that you present them. I recently had a job that requires a hole 20deg X 60deg. it was 60deg tilted back and 20deg swivel. I figured it out but with a lot of planes and cutaway. I bet that you know a simpler way. I would love if you could find a quicker method and share it with the world. thanks again

I followed your explanations easily (which is saying a lot coming from an art guy). Thank you.
What I am confused about is this whole Project Geometry business. I have absolutely no clue when I am supposed to use it to do something and the name of it tells me nothing but of course that is not your fault.
It just seems an essential step to getting some things done but as a newbie, I have absolutely no clue about what it does or when it is needed.
Unless I stumble across and explanation, I am going to have to find a rich, single lady and leave all this techie stuff behind but until then, I will have to do some hunting about it.
    Thanks, Neil.

Hi Mr TFI CAD Tips. Just like to say how informative your videos are. I'm new to Inventor in the last 9 months and have picked up a lot of useful tips from your videos.
One topic I haven't been able to find though is the ability to drill an angled hole in two directions though. The company I work for design a fair number of hydraulic manifolds and if you could do a video on this it would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

Great video. Can this be converted to an ifeature? I have tried with no success, it simply won't let me select the hole.
The new extended start advanced option for hole features eliminates the delete face step.

I can't get the hole table to recognize it in the drawing. I’m on inventor 2013. What am I missing?

ANY REASON WHY I CAN'T DRILL A COUNTERBORED HOLE AT AN ANGLE USING THE METHOD YOU SUGGEST?

i don't think it a compound angle hole
