Drilling small holes in sheet metal is easy, but cutting out larger ones is hard. Not any more. The large hole punching pliers can quickly and easily pop out 7 different size holes. We at FDJtool.com want to show you just how easy it is.
These plieers were not designed for that so we have not tried it. May have to look into that.
coult you fit .125 plastic in there, like how much clearance does the area the die have to fit material in there? could you potentially fit for instance a sheet of 1/4" plastic in there ,or would that be too thick to fit?
If you leave zero room you can squeeze a ¼” sheet into the gap, however, doing so would most likely put a scratch in the surface as there is a tiny nub of the punch that sticks down. If it were me I would go a hair smaller than ¼” just to be safe.
can u use that on soft wood
Is it posible to make a hole on a 3mm sheet plate with 7mm tool
Almir Cizmic The hole punching pliers can only handle a maximum of about 16ga (1.25mm) of soft metal. The 3mm plate is just too thick.
Can i use this on a aluminum sheet? Thanks nice vids
michael miguel They can be used on aluminum sheet, just remember not to exceed the 16ga thickness. Better safe than sorry.
How thick of metal will it punch through ?
+Braydon Alderson these hole punching pliers can cut through soft metal up to 16ga thick (about 1.3mm)
will it punch holes in coins?
docbarrera The hole punching pliers can only handle a maximum of about 16ga (1.25mm) of soft metal. I think most coins are thicker than that.
