The shop I used to work in looked rather like that upstairs. Such places are very few and far between these days. They will be sadly missed when they're all gone. I could spend all day wandering around looking at stuff there. Wonderful.
@@Volcanicbrown1878 it will be a very sad day. Places like that are so rare now. So much character And so many rich treasures in there. Amazon doesn't sell the brilliant stuff on those shelves!
Terrific little tour and blast from the past. Bikes that had so much character and style. And yet simple beasts without the wizbangery of todays bikes. May Andy live forever..
What a place Andy’s got there! One of my favourite things is trawling his website and dreaming of the next classic. He seems to have honest bikes with honest descriptions at a very fair price. I’ve never seen inside his emporium so thanks for that VB 👍.
Great video!, I watch a lot of Peter Ransons bikes for sale videos, but I didn't realise how big and extensive Andy Tiernons was or how many spares he carries, don't blame him for not selling spares, they don't make 'em like they used to!!
My New Years resolution was to not buy any more bikes .😮 And then you make this video of Andy's Eye Candy 😢. Mr Brown you are incorrigable person of dubious intent , you've got me thinking about a prewar bike again . Darn it ! 😂
@dungspreader Not guilty me lud! You shouldn't make new years resolutions like that, Get up to Anydy's and get one of those pre war bikes bought! You know you want to !!
Nice! Helps to explain why some people complain about not being able to find pistons - Andy's got 'em all! I bought my AJS from Andy a couple of years ago and I subscribe to Peter Ranson's channel. Great to see what he has in stock.
Great video, a proper aladins cave, it must be a pleasure going to work in a job like that, so knowledgeable so much to think about and do,fantastic place 😉🏍🇬🇧👍
Enjoyed the video, I bought a BSA B33 from Andy about 25 years ago and it's still going strong !!. My latest bike is a brown and chrome 350 royal enfield.....roll on the spring.
@Bob-xc2us When he buys large collections of bikes, there are often "Odd" bikes included as part of the collection, so he gets them and knocks them out cheap! It's often a condition of sale that he buys ALL the bikes in the collection.
Nice to see a place that can still make individual parts as and when needed. Most garages in earlier times used to have at least a pillar drill and quite often a small centre lathe at the back of the shop. These days, most places are just bought in part changers. Shame.
I really hope these places survive into the future. They’re what it’s all about 😊. I do like the look of that little triumph with the colour matched hard luggage. It caught my eye because I don’t recall, I far I can remember, ever seeing an old Brit set up like that. Very nice.
It’ll be terrible shame, but I get it. The classic/vintage world needs places like this. It’s having someone with all the knowledge to go with it though.
amazing place , Sister has just moved to Ipswich so a free B and B when the weather improves and some touring around the Suffolk countryside and interesting places Andys and Dave Silvers a must stop on the list
Congratulations Mr Brown, joint 8th place in a UA-cam motorcycle channel poll, not bad, and you almost quit, but I think we are really happy you didn’t ..
I think the Bonnie at 3.15 is a very rare Special Edition from 1981 known as the ' Royal Wedding ' ( Charles & Diana ) T140 and basically a posh T140ES , with the Lester wheels, TSS brakes . Also , one of the very last models out of Meriden .I have a T140ES that a mate bought new in 1981 and these were available at the time.
I'd hate to be doing a stock-take on all that 😂 How do they manage their bike stock with regards to e10 and gunking up carbs? Presume they are completely drained. Long may they continue doing what they're doing
@paulsire Tanks are drained and a special brand of petrol called Aspen is put in, which contains no ethanol or other additives. It's about £16 per gallon!!
I like some of the handlebars from few bikes, you just can't get that shape of a bars this days ... So, I bought 1 meter long straight bar and my own for the Hunter 350. I could lose some hours there just looking at stuff, it's like kid in a candy shop.
