I don't get much sleep on the events but it's the best I can do to bring you all along on the ride with me. I figure they don't have to be flashy videos just clip them and throw them up so you all can see what's going on.

Dane Paul, Thank You for recording, compiling, editing video of this Drive Day from Tulsa Raceway to Texas Motorplex, Ennis, showing some of th route,challenges, difficulties especially within the selected, chosen roads, path along with experienced challenges and issue.
It is certainly good to see that Your "Maliboom" has endured through those challenges, thus indicates You prepared the mechanical components, fluids, cooling well even for the shown challenges which You did not have specific preparations, but good general.
It seems the organizers had purposely selected, chosen the roads, paths to be somewhat difficult in combination with the expected heat, perhaps since the elevation within the overall travel is real actively low, flat, not as within previous years in the mountains. Though clearly the heat was relatively high, started within more humidity than You have commonly in SoCal, did the humidity decrease during the drive more within Texas, along the paths to Ennis which is not far from Dallas-Fort Worth area, correct ?
It is certainly sad :-( for Joe, that his previously very reliable 1967 Chevelle had issues and apparent transmission failure. Seemingly after getting the car back to Fresno area, removal, investigation, the issue, damage will be assessed, evaluated, determined along with its repair.
Also good to see that Jason is still proceeding with his reliable panel Truck/Van too.
Hopefully You all had good rest, sleep, feel refreshed for today along with success at the Texas Motorplex drag raceway, then onward to the next.

When you get back home, maybe you could weld 4 posts on your trailer. Use dzus clips or pins to mount your hood on the top of the trailer. Probably have to angle itto get the air to go over it. Don't want the wind catching it and making mpg worse or causing the trailer to drive hateful. Just an idea
Im gong to cut holes in the hood for air flow and definitely figure out a trailer mount some how so if my car is hot I'll have a place to put it. Hell even a roof rack could work I guess haha.
