Hi for alls! Here is Brazil! As long as there is a poet like Morrissey, my lonely heart will sing the sufferings of this world with less sadness! Long live to poet! @
"There is extremely heavy censorship now. If you examine, for example, the Sex Pistols rise, it largely succeeded because nobody saw it coming, and the industry didn’t think a band like the Sex Pistols could be popular, or could even exist. Now, it is severely controlled and monitored to make sure that any singer with a political message cannot get through. The result is obvious. We are left with music charts that do not reflect the feelings and needs of devout music lovers. But there cannot be a revolution." - Morrissey
PazzaTV Love this quote. Unfortunately, it is very true. Most songs on the radio are so constructed and polished; there's never anything new, and hardly anything real.
Wrong, artists that espouse utter trite get signed and publicized, those with a message that threatens vested, established interests do not get signed. Morrissey himself has struggled to get label deals because of this.
Thank you morrissey, after 20 years in my life you remain my closest friend. Your unmatched in the ways of style and charm. Boys will one day be charming. Forgive us while we find our way. Truly you understand. Cheers.

Our human geography/globalization lecturer recently recommended this album in class and I do not regret checking it out. Morrissey sings it with understanding. He always does. I really empathize with this album as it is as relevant to our world as ever. It makes me sad and hopeful at the same time. This album is very therapeutic, in many ways!
such a shame this album will never get its rightful recognition because of pointless arguments and monetary desires which prevent streaming platforms from carrying it. LET THE PEOPLE LISTEN TO MORRISSEY
Morrissey, oh Morrissey, he of the songs of pleas, mortal woe, and hopes for mercy... It's so hard to get happy when you are clever beyond belief... So many people rave about originality in those who aren't really all that original. Morrissey, one of the world's true originals and wonders. I know legends of Mozzer fans cleaved to him instantly in the mid-80s... I could never become a fanatic... Boy, oh boy, I can certainly be amazed by the man and his lyrics, his brain and cleverness... But he's not an artist one can be easily influenced by...without looking like a copycat. He's so rare of an artist. I can't find many to put in a collection with him. Actually, none. He is a true original. Something said about many, but really, so rarely true. In Morrissey's case, it's true.
30+ Years a fan counting The Smiths. I'm still playing this regularly. Took a little getting used to but when you get it, its a masterpiece Official 12 songs with or without deluxe...
It really is hilarious that, in 2023, this remains the best version of this album available for streaming online. Been listening to it since 2014! Is it t that good? Idk - I love it. But have I really been listening to only the first 30% of some of the best songs on the album for NINE YEARS? Really!? That means I was 17 when this came out! I turn 26 Easter Sunday! F**k!
This is one greatest albums of the 2010's and the media knows little about it. This is why it is important to proactive search out great music. It is not on Itunes, but I will purchase a CD. What is a CD?
Brit-Flick Reviews Cool. I don't have record player though. The fact this wasn't mentioned in the Grammy's is the reason I stopped watching in the 1990's. The build ups on the songs in this album. The energy, the emotion. They don't get it. I'm glad I do.
Brit-Flick Reviews Great points. Thank God for my parents giving me a record player at five and exposing me to classical music. The bar is set really high.
***** That's good to know. Moz is at his best on this one, IMO. Then again, I say that about each one of his albums. I honestly don't have a favorite. I love them all.
It's amazing. Gut wrenchingly sad about the waste of human lives. It's not like the vast majority of prisoners in there were gangsters or serial killers....just average working class men. "The only thing that makes me cry....is when I see the sky."
Thank you for uploading this, the loudness is crazy out of whack here though. Hopefully we can get a real rerelease to support Morrissey too, great album.
Been a Morrissey fan for years but stopped listening to the new stuff about 10 years ago as I was convinced wouldn't be like it that much. This really is fantastic. A complete revelation of an album.
Yesterday, I watched James Bond "Diamonds are forever" and it struck me the first time how much Morrissey today looks like Sean Connery then in Diamonds are forever.

Dang, this record is so cinematic compared to Years of Refusal. Alot less anthemic numbers in comparison, but tonnes more sathing critique that we've come to love in this man. Reminds of "You are the Quarry" is some ways!
Nice! You Are the Quarry is the first one that got me into his solo stuff. Now I love pretty much everything he's put out. Am I crazy to think that the Mozzer's discography would be a life saving tool if stranded alone on a desert island?
YES!!! I love the album! oh this is so great.....it's been so long, Steven....so long....I've missed your rabid bite. And so timely....so poignant. So right. Thank you.
+Stefan Kuhn It was a fantastic live performance! They sounded even better live than I expected. They played many songs from the new album. I liked that a lot. I am glad you made it too. Peace
still pains my soul that half the world refuses to pick a book and read. If it wasn't for this lovely man I would have never majored in victorian British lit. So depressing how unintelligent this rather cruel world has become. I honestly face palm myself daily because the youth of today does not know who Neal Cassidy or Allen Ginsberg. Oh what sad times we live in that no one reads On The Road anymore.
Hey! My opinion is that since ''world peace is none of your business'', and ''each time you vote, you support the process'', he chose to show the uselessness of the act of voting by showing a pen ( by wich you leave your preference on the vote ballot) to a dog. Why a dog? The dog represents us, the poor little fools that believe anything will ever change with a vote. Also note the pityful gaze he's giving to the clueless dog/ mankind. Meanwhile, the dog is clearly paying attention to the pen only, not who holds it; couldn't Moz impersonify the government in this picture? The Government watches you, while giving you the impression of ''real'' choice, (objectified by the pen), but in reality it's just a phoney trick to hold your attention. In my humble opinion this amazing cover picture is a subtle and ironic, yet very sad, allegory of our faked political world.
I don't think he's 'militant', Keith; can one be militant in caring?; he's certainly passionate, but I wont quibble over semantics. Cats are carnivores; dogs are omnivore (or carnivores, depending on who you ask); humans are clearly omnivorous by default, and some do what the cats and dogs can't and make an ethical decision not to eat other animals. I'd imagine he feeds his animals the best food money can buy for their optimal health? Peace.
Not really. I think that the image of prison and criminals is only a pretext here to look from the distance at humans that all the goods like wealth, power, faith are nonsense in the light of the simple fact: humans are because of their nature extremely egoistic and they hate each other and wish the worst themselves, even if it will not bring them too far.
Its actually a lot more to do with actual Mountjoy prison here in Dublin & a lament about one of it's once great inhabitants. He pours out the whole history of The Joy in a nutshell. I think the World Peace album in general is where you're aiming...albeit off course. There's a neighbour of our community who had her teenage son brutally & unjustly murdered in the prison, not but a couple of years ago... The song Mountjoy is not multi-topical at all.Its mainly about Mountjoy prison. I agree humanity as a rule doesn't really see eye to eye, but its not just because of egotists who don't have a sense of achievement. That's not really the reason of what we have become or that we don't know what consequences are. Ignorance is not apathy. I also think the line 'We all lose, rich or poor' hints that all families have one (black sheep, criminal), whichever how we class ourselves.
Mountjoy is hauntingly great. I edited an Unnofficial Video of the Ukraine conflict, Seems to work well with the clip. Although about the oppressive gaol that is Mountjoy,.

This is why the internet is so important to new artists. Whatever the medium.

Surprised about how great Morrissey sounds. His voice has never been stronger.

'Mountjoy' is definitely Morrissey's best song in the past decade, and perhaps the best song he has ever written.
It's amazing. Gut wrenchingly sad about the waste of human lives. It's not like the vast majority of prisoners in there were gangsters or serial killers....just average working class men. "The only thing that makes me cry....is when I see the sky."

I was there when it was fresh. Almost wish i donated to the album fund to get my name on the album poster, such a pure recording
I never gave this much consideration at first, but after some time and a number of listens, this is a stellar album
Yesterday, I watched James Bond "Diamonds are forever" and it struck me the first time how much Morrissey today looks like Sean Connery then in Diamonds are forever.
Sometimes lately I think he looks a bit like Jay Leno......the chin especially.
Todays the 1st time i've heard this album.
There are some stunning tracks on it, the last track Art-hounds being one of them.
From a patriot too - i am inspired !

GRANDE MORRISSEY
Can't wait to see Moz play in a few weeks!
Ashley Bell Just saw him last night and he was amazing!
Yes same here! July 9th here in Chicago!
Ashley Bell Just saw him tonight at MSG. I was really disappointed. I understand that he is very political , but almost every song was political.
Ashley Bell Saw him in Nashville--- awesome concert. Check out the You tube video of him singing "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" at the Ryman.
Saw him last night here in Chicago and I loved every minute of it!
Amo demais esse cara...que álbum lindo!
Profundo em tudo que compõe
Great album
I like you because we feel the same about this madness.
Bellissimo disco, degno di nota. MORRISSEY è un grande artista.

Can anybody enlighten me whats going on with the album cover? I understand art is about interpretation but im not much from this-maybe its just me.

why do most moz fans hate this? this is up there as his better records..number one being your arsenal vauhax hall and i.
thanxs.
loveya, Morrissey!
Why do some songs fade out early on this video? Its frustrating, but still the album is great!
He hasn't put out a bad album yet...............................
My life is opera.
FABIAN, why did you cut the best tracks?
In fact, why would you cut anything when uploading an album?
No doubt for this album should kept in the library of fine literature!
este álbum desapareceu das plataformas digitais...por quê? absurdo
ainda bem que tenho o cd e o vinil e ainda tenho no pen drive kkkk
I wonder what morrissey feeds his dogs and cats

BARF!
not really the full album here, is it?
...or, at least, the closest guitarist to his greatness...Roddy Frame.
His voice on Art-Hounds!

Definitely, Mountjoy is the saddest track on the album
a song concerning criminals governing social confinement, yes sad & concise too...
Not really. Just bought the album version and the production quality is a huge leap from this youtube video. There's so much more punch and visceral-ity to it lol
