Because the wii is backwards compatible with gamecube. If you put a gamecube disc in a wii, it will boot the gamecube game and prompt you to connect a gamecube controller

Regardless the cIOS must work because I can boot burnt discs, USB loader just doesn’t wanna work.

You need to put them into a different folder on your USB Drive called games. They way you put games in is the same method, but you need to name the game file game.iso

Make a games folder, inside that have the game name and the game id, and then inside that have the actual game file be named game.iso
Also you need Nintendont and latest revision of USB Loader GX 3.0
