You can make your own garam masala. And you can get green or red curry paste from Asian markets. Coconut milk subs for cream. We use browned, marinated tofu chunks for a vegan alternative version. Luv it when men get in the kitchen 💜

Love these pies. Great crust made with lard and butter so this is very old school. I usually add ground beef keema to make a pie like this, instead of the traditional samosa recipe crust. The chicken filling looks very easy to whip up and not have to be in the kitchen for two days. Will definitely make this as soon as I can.

Brilliant as always, John! If you use freshly toasted spices and grind you own garam masala, you can really elevate you Indian inspired cooking, but that is sometimes a bit much for all but the most dedicated cooks.

Indian supermarkets are your friend or World Food isle in Sainsburys/ Morrisons/ Tesco.
Both are easy to get from an Indian supermarket, the Fenugreek will be marked 'Methi'.
You can make your own garam masala. And you can get green or red curry paste from Asian markets. Coconut milk subs for cream. We use browned, marinated tofu chunks for a vegan alternative version. Luv it when men get in the kitchen 💜

Love these pies. Great crust made with lard and butter so this is very old school. I usually add ground beef keema to make a pie like this, instead of the traditional samosa recipe crust. The chicken filling looks very easy to whip up and not have to be in the kitchen for two days. Will definitely make this as soon as I can.

Brilliant as always, John! If you use freshly toasted spices and grind you own garam masala, you can really elevate you Indian inspired cooking, but that is sometimes a bit much for all but the most dedicated cooks.
