I'm going to release a video about it by next month but here's a link: artdigest.co/products/floating-light-bulb-lamp?sca_ref=2930416.1y5bovwkIh and here's a youtube short I did on it: ua-cam.com/users/shortsB-uevhMsjS0
Testing to yourself is a valid test to see if you can get a crazy high number. If not you may be using a machine as a server that has a very weak CPU that cannot handle the test. If so do not trust the test that you do across the network.
That's a good point. Not an issue in my case since both of my computers are fairly powerful. Everything matters though with the test, the computer, ethernet cable, switch (if applicable), wifi device and router
What app do you use on the phone and how do you set it up The one I got it’s also a server. Is there a separate app that you run on the phone or just go to the website?
If you’re referring to Ookla, this is a local speed test which provides more consistent results and is not capped by your ISP or the public speed test server
this test has nothing to do with internet speeds. It's really just testing to see how fast your router is, now if your router is slow, and your paying for faster internet speeds. Then getting a new router will speed up your internet. Getting a mesh system will increase your wifi coverage which will also generally improve your wifi speeds.
Thanks! I've been waiting for this for a long time!
my bad lol, well I hope it was worth wait.
A great tool for testing lan speeds in a multi-branched network. Thanks for the knowledge!
You're welcome!

Just go to the ip address (of the server) from the phone on a web browser.
This is great. I love it. It’s very simple and effective.

it does not open my local IP from the phone through Google Chrome?
Make sure you’re in the same network and you’re also typing the port number after the IP address with a colon in between
I disabled protection and everything works
