Gotta add to the comments all these yrs later! Having flown back seat in an F16, pulling 8.5 Gs, I can certainly feel the Gs watching this, when they cross with the aggressors and immediately give chase. One of my favorite fighter flight vids ever!!
“The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS “Fighting Cocks” and the 44FS “Vampire Bats”, entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the pacific ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.”
This is awesome Jersey, very well done! Some fellow flightsim nerds and me watched it dozens of times, trying to digest the brevity/chatter and watching the beautiful footage.
Five Finger Death Punch at the beginning, "bad company" song... one of my favorite youtube video! impressive images and powerful music which fits perfect with them... congrats
Awesome! Thanks for posting!! Love to see the Eagle in action... great soundtrack!! Used to watch those Eagles here at Soesterberg AB in the Netherlands... Wolfhounds!
Absolutely PERFECT !! Great music, just awesome piece. Very very thanks guys. You're the best ! Incredibles pictures.... I'm dreaming to do the same thing....
jerseyf15 thanks for the music list. metal is not my favorite genre but this music works very well with the action. my father was a fighter pilot in the 50's and 60's, so i know something of your world. i see f-15s over otis when i head out to nantucket...very impressive! i salute your courage and envey your lifestyle!
Jersey that was Sierra Hotel! your video truely portrays what a high energy, violent ,fast paced, split second decision event a ACM engagement really is all about. The EAGLE is unsurpassed by any fighter in combat with a kill ratio off the charts and is 30years old! , not only do you drive one but you guys at the 67th are equipped with the latest AESA radars.SHOGUN warriors rule the skies!
Loved this vid when I came across it years ago! I would really like to share a clip of this with my followers to my instagram. With your permission, I'll provide full credit to your channel and provide a watermark for your channel as well!
You fellas must be feeling like the kings of the skies when driving the Eagle, and rigthfully so... great footage, great editing, great comms and music - Top Notch! (or Beam? :D )
@Jerseyf15 Pause at 6:38 you can see your visor cover - pretty awesome man. Congrats on making it and living the dream. I hope I get to do this too someday if I graduate ROTC and get a UPT slot.
Flying fighter jets is what I've dreamed about since my uncle, who was a combat pilot, took me flying in a glider as a kid. My eyesight is probably correctable but it's too late for me anyway I'll be 24 in a couple of months and I've already been through MIT which wasn't exactly cheap for my parents.
Officer Training School. It's for people who have already graduated college but want to commission in the Air Force. You would apply for a "rated board" and know whether you would be a pilot before you make a commitment. The first step is to contact an officer accessions recruiter. This is your life and you have to make your decisions; it doesn't affect me one way or the other. Check out airforceots dot etc. You would probably be a highly competitive candidate.
If you'd like to see a pretty cool vid on tailhooking, look for PBS "Landing on a pitching deck" youtubes. You'll see a bunch of bolters, but take a deck of cards and pitch it up and down, then picture that as your runway, at night.
Here's how a friend of mine who flew 15s on an exchange tour explained it. Navy they give you the keys to the jet, and a card. The card tells you all the shit you're not allowed to do. The AF gives you the keys and a thick encyclopedia. It tells you what to do, and how to do it. Every situation. Hey, I'm completely stereotyping here. I went up with some great AF fighter guys, and had my ass kicked more than once. They do have all the Gucci gear!
Oh,no doubt that the Eagle had it all over my 14, but there I was, both wingman went down in the chocks on a 3v2, so we went out solo and took both 15s twice, and got one on the third fight. All TACTS kills. Know why? The AF training is so regimented, that they couldn't adapt, and never figured out I was alone! I could tell you a bunch of old guy war stories, but I can tell you that at Red Flags, where we were Red air with the F-5s, we owned the Eagles, the AF crowd loved it.
He wasn't specifically targeting US soldiers. He meant military industry as a whole. I agree with him. Pilots are amazing people and war can cause a pilot, an incredibly skilled person both mentally and physically who also has a family to die in an instant. Years of training and testing, all wasted in an insignificant moment. War is disgusting. If war didn't exist, neither would a military industry. So hoping that military industry collapses means hoping war will end. There's no need to insult
I totaly agree! War is ugly and when it happens I don't plan on beeing a casualty, I want to be able to make a stand and differance, not for the sake of shooting people or getting shot. The bonus of a fighter jet is however the unique experiance. I'm planning on flying for the RNAF and i'm currently working on my preperations for the application requirments.

I was looking for some awsome footage for the cadets, and i stumbled on this video. Problem?

All military pilots are deputy angels. Especially USAF. God save the pilots.

It's actually Five Finger Death Punch - Bad Company.
It's "Excellent"!
Anyone know if these guys are using the same "high off bore-sight" missile system as the F-35? The helmets sort of look the same.

the second A is "aspect", such as hot, flank, beam or drag.
