It’s still the same colors it’s just a better camera quality, and the fact that gray lines appear on the rails of every coaster and are only not there during initial testing, which is when the video on the left was taken.
The drop off of the 3rd hill, and the incline into the pretzel turn around was Very Brutal. There were ambulance runs to Magnum just about everyday, and numerous lawsuits the 1st season because of the bad coaster profile in that section, leading to some major re-profiling after the 1989 season. Trim brakes had to be added to the top of the 3rd hill also shortly in the inaugural season.
There were not “ambulance runs” every day, you drama queen. I worked for a Toledo news station (evidenced by my own Magnum vid). There were 3 lawsuits in 1989 (one thrown out). CP never released results of settlements, etc.
Crazy to see how much cameras evolved in just 30-40 years
It really is
That third hill really dove down far originally
the transition into the turnaround looks skull crushing lmao
I remember that third drop! And no seat padding! Being only 9 years old, it didn’t phase me. lol
The one looks like a old roller coaster game the camera quality was so much worse back then
You could tell by the fact that when you went through the 2nd tunnel, the old one was pitch black but the new one has more detail.

Nice video! The camera quality sure has changed a lot! Also the first drop on the new footage looked longer. Also congratulations on 1000 subscribers!
Thank you!
Congrats on 1000 subs
Thank you!
