I think the BMW V12 LMR might be my favorite one here, it has killer looks and an awesome engine that creates an amazing sound. I wish people would talk about it more...
Here’s some interesting things I want to point out about car depictions in this video (and in general) so far 1-) the ERS system of the LMP1 grid in project cars games is completely incorrect. Hybrid LMP1 cars (le mans hypercars now) since 2012 run on automatic ers deployments BUT have an override button to activate the electric engines when they need it. Audi R18, Porsche 919 and Toyota TS050 in PC2 and PC3 are using completely manual ERS, AND on cars with auto ERS like the R18 and TS040, the car incorrectly depletes the entire battery on full throttle, giving you no chance to manage your hybrid allocation per lap. 2-)Toyota TS040 in PC1 is incorrectly simulated as a 2WD car. The same car in AC has an incorrect cockpit audio 3-) Audi R10 incorrectly has 6 gears in GRID 1 instead of the 5 gears it ran with. This also applies to Gran Turismo 5, when you install a fully customizable transmission to the R10, it becomes a 6 speed. This was fixed in GT6 4-) In GT7, LMP1 cars from 2016 do not regenerate enough of their battery under braking, rendering the Audi R18 completely useless as it runs on a flywheel+battery system and only regenerates under braking. 5-) Also in GT7, the flywheel system of the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo doesn’t work properly, just like the real car 6-) if reliability was accurately simulated in any of these games, the 2011 AMR-One wouldn’t even make it that far on track Fun note: this car was such an embarrassment, it was quickly retired and chassis’ were sold off to nissan for the Deltawing project. 7-) Toyota TS050 incorrectly uses the same sound as the Toyota TS040 in PC2 and PC3 (TS040 had a 3.7L NA V8, while the TS050 had a 2.4L TTV6) 8-) if you think about it, both the 1999 Audi R8R and R8C have won le mans if you consider the bentley speed 8 to be the continuation of the failed R8C project 9-) the Pescarolo C60 (I know the Hybride can but I don’t remember if the older models could) can equip a different spec rear wing in GT Auto in GT5 10-) the upshifting lights on the Peugeot 908 in GT games does not match the rev range allocated to the car for some reason Oh wait I know why, the numbers peugeot gave them must have been on qualifying trim since diesel cars shouldn’t even rev past 6000 RPM for reliability reasons 11-) In 41:12, the 2011 peugeot 908 is lacking a shark fin for some reason 12-) Forza (franchise as a whole) seems to be allergic to actually simulating hybrid powertrains for some unknown reason. We know rF2 can’t simulate it because of the game’s engine limitations and we all know real racing 3 is a fucking mobile game which doesn’t even need that simulated 13-) I don’t know what happened and how it happened but this wasn’t in the comment despite me writing it so I’ll rewrite it. The Oreca 03 you’ve shown and the Alpine LMP2 car you’ve shown are the exact same car
12) rFactor 2 can infact simulate hybrid system and even though right now only primitive BTCC push-to-pass-style hybrids are used, there are plenty of other hybrid options in the game. It's just that they're not used, because licensing I guess. Also, the new Le Mans Ultimate game will feature all the WEC LMH and LMDh cars with simulated hybrid systems. And we all know what the base for LMU game is... (rF2).
Was about to say exactly the same regarding PC games and granturismo about their unrealistic Hybrid batteries Also the 2011 Peugeot didn't have a shark fin because that's the HDi FAP from 2010, but downgraded to match 2011 aco lmp1 rules
@@jpracing9753 I never played forza before so I didn’t know that was the case with the 908. 10-) the upshifting lights on the Peugeot 908 in GT games does not match the rev range allocated to the car for some reason
