Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the 89th Birthday celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at the Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj.
Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by Sikyong (CTA) Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, and the entire team of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).
The programme was also attended by Speaker MN Sherpa, Ministers Bhim Hang Subba, Puran Gurung and Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, MLA’s Sanjit Kharel and Erung Lepcha, DoP Secretary (Rtd) and Former Chairman (ARC) Tenzing Gelek, Principal RC AK Chand, and CMO Secretary SD Dhakal including the representatives of the local Tibetan Assembly in Gangtok, along with executive members of the six Tibetan associations and the students from Sikkim.
