I am a grandma, but this is what I would do with the basement. I would do a media room like you said. It can also be the gaming room. You have so much space there! I would make a family room with a kitchenette in it so you can entertain down there and not have to run up and down the stairs for food and drinks. It truly is a beautiful home. I think for the basement, have the big, open area be like a game room and put a tv in there to watch like the super bowl or something and I agree with Audrey, have a little bar like in that corner. Then in the other part of the basement, I would have half of it (the back part) be for storage like what Spencer said and put in a wall and a door to the storage room and make under the stairs like a little play area/resting nook for little kids or something.

You should add a curtain to the ceiling to be able to turn the home theatre room into it's own room or one big room. And you should add a home bar with a pool table with a theme like tropical bar or something with a couple of chairs and tables for guests
