It's actually the Jewish perspective. Moreso, the G-dly perspective, from Hashem Himself praised be He. That's what Divine truth is appealing to you. As though G-d Himself was speaking to each of us as He did to Moshe. As admittedly wonderful as Rabbi Friedman is, he didn't develop these teachings himself.

We don't have things 'in common'. Xians took Judaism and changed it. That's a huge deep chasm of difference. You have things sort of similar yet aren't at all. The biggest issues deal with the basic, G-d is One and the Torah. We have not changed one letter. Don't know if you've even kept one. And I'm.not being facetious either.
From our long history with non Jews assimilation and forced, or repeated attenpts at, conversions are the norm. Total acceptance of us as we are with no eye at all towards either practice is a relatively new concept. Personally I'm leery of those who say they will leave us be. Time will tell.
In another comment someone said they didn't see a difference between Judaism and xianit. I came up with ten or so ways we're not close at all. I was just getting started. Could have gone on and on.
Are our differences important? Depends. End goal. Yours heaven. Us here. Light years of difference. We're not adapting, compromising or changing. Now what?

That creates confusion, dissension, polarization, and ultimately lack of trust. That's where evil gets its foot in the door to trust them.
A chassid is a chassid, if you're talking about a specific type of Jewish observance. Someone's level of afherence or seeming lack of it is not the definer We're not to judge anyone's possible internal struggles with doing mitzvahs. Ever heard "judge your neighbor fairly"? We are taught to be more critical of ourselves than of others.
It's taught that the greater the struggles, the more Hashem shows His love by testing them. Instead of looking at them critically, we could instead help them, praying for their success with their challenges.

As an evangelical (& messianic) Christian, I appreciate your perspective and I agree with your definition of love being just an Emotion as being not enough.
I presume you speak about love within the cultural context as it is often misused.
However God commands us to "hear o Israel... You shall love the Lord your God with your heart, soul, strength" so in Judaism, the definition of "love" is different than an emotion. And in fact, this definition of love is very basis for the commands of Moses.
Likewise Christianity defines love the way God defines it, NOT as a cultural western emotion.
Love from the Christian standpoint is obedience to God first and foremost.
"if you love me, you will keep my commandments".

    • @613YY
      @613YY 13 днів тому

What is it with non Jews telling us what the Shema is? Especially when you're inaccurately sharing.
"Hear, O Israel" --- not non Jews --- "the L-rd, our G-d, the L-rd is One". We don't skip the most important part of the Shema. A part you actually don't embrace.
Love is not G-d's focus, nor ours, though it is an important part of our relationship with Hashem praised be He. That's what Judaism is. A relationship. One on one. No intermediaries. No mouthpieces. Personal and intimate. Beyond defintions and limitations, as Hashem is.
We Jews also don't need to know what your definitions of anything are. It's yours alone. From our perspective, none of it is tied to us. Separate.
G-d said for all non Jews to keep the 7 Noahide Laws with all of their intricacies, not Ten of our 613 mitzvahs. Commandments is not the best translation. We know what it means, as we should.

Can you ever authentically and genuinely love anyone who (before you even know them) commands you to love them, and threatens you with harm if you do not love them? Why or why not? 2. That's an amusing first question. G-d praised be He "commanded" Jews after we had begun a relationship with Him. Love is something G-d wants us to achieve with Him. He doesn't threaten us Jews in the literal way you're saying. As RMF says about that misconception, 'that's nasty'.
G-d is not a person, heaven forbid He is beyond limitations of corporeal life. G-d is One, which means much more than a sole entity.
Have a better question for you:
How can we love something that we can't see, hear, talk to or touch? Yet Jews do, or try to or aspire to, in our limited human way. Maybe you don't. Nor want to. That's your personal business. We won't ask you to explain it. Nor will we.
Intimate, personal relationships can't - aren't meant - to be defined for others to understand and approve or disapprove of. The relationship between Jews, individually and together, is deeply personal. As such it is not open for debate or defending. We know who we are, who Hashem is and what we are doing for Him.

I guess that's not a characteristic of God, so maybe its (holiness/kedusha) an absence of characteristics. So maybe when I do them (the mitsvas) I'm in an absence of characteristics too.
The first time this word appears in the Tora (describing / announcing God's shabbat) very much appears to me to fit the 'characteristic' of a ceasing of characteristics, as it were. And, so, finally, what's the characteristic of no characteristic?

@@Yosaif-Israel How do you know how it's being studied? Non Jews don't study Torah the way Jews do. Yes, the Hebrew is a bit different, richer with meaning, making exploration of the words deeper, which the rabbi is sharing. In addition to sharing how we study the text as opposed to reading it. They accept what RMF shows has to have layers of meaning since most, really all, of the stories don't make sense without taking them apart and looking for more, which we're not afraid to do. Our sages and rabbis and rebbes were given more layers which rabbis share for those who wish to listen and learn.

"No one can see my face and live..." Sh'mot (Exodus) 33:20. With respect, it's not that he doesn't "want us" to see him. Otherwise, why wouldn't he just say so? He's God'; who's going to argue? Moses did not "see" God's "face". His "speaking to God 'face to face' is a metaphor for the the quality of their personal relationship. See Bamidbar (Numbers) 12:6-9 how God reveals himself to ALL prophets vs how he uniquely revealed himself to Moses. God has no "face" or even a "back" since God is "spirit". He is not a man or an angel (i.e. malakh: a messenger of YHVH; be it an angel, donkey or even a finger writing on a wall). Whenever anyone "sees" God or a part of him in a vision or dream or ANY kind of event, they are only seeing what we might call his "avatar" or "agent" or "messenger" (malakh). These can be invested with his power and authority (with limitations). This is under the ancient near eastern "Law of Agency". If 33:20 doesn't mean what it says, then God would have to be a "liar", which we know he isn't. Ergo: no one has ever seen God regardless of what they may have thought or reported... since they did not die (Jacob, Hagar, Abraham, etc.) Shalom.

People usually say that's a very good question when they want time to think about the answer. or when they are about to spew some bull****. I have never heard one honnest straight answer from this rabbi. He just slithers aways with his answers like a snake and connects dots in such a far fetched way lol. He will say anything as long as it sounds good. Really amazing at duping people

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent onto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 😇❤️‍🔥

The questions : what is seeing? And what or who do you see?
When you notice an elderly couple walking hand in hand, with a walking stick in their other hand.
When they look at each other, what do they see?
With which eyes do they see? Eyes that are operated by the heart or eyes that are operated by the mind? The eyes are the same eyes, but the resulting image is completely different.

God does want to be seen, but in our current sinful corrupt state, this side of eternity, if we saw God in all his glory, we would be eliminated, because the full glory of God cannot stand in the presence of sin, and despite being redeemed, we are still in corrupted bodies. When even Uzzah touched the corner of the Ark of the Covenant he died, and he didn't even see God.
Read your Torah and Tanakh. See Sinai, the Holy of Holies, even Isaiah had to have coals on his lips and be sanctified first before coming before God in the vision. I wish Christians and Jews would read their Bible/OT etc better. I am sure Manis Friedman is a great fella, brother, father, husband and friend. But if more Christians and Jews would start reading more and relying on pastors and rabbis less, they would know that a lot of what he said in this podcast was false. Be a Berian!

He wasn’t that specific about what we should ‘do’ as God’s will. I assume he meant the rules and regulations. But the 5 Books of Moses also shows people who related to God personally. Enoch walked with God and he was not(?). One of the prophets said God does not care for your sacrifices. Your HEART is far from me. The Rabbi is wrong. Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden, to prevent them from eating of the Tree of Life. That is the setup for the human existence. There is a problem that cannot be solved with doing deeds. It requires someone who satisfies the requirements to enter into the Garden. Someone who satisfies God’s holiness, righteousness and glory. That one will open the way for all to enter. He is called our Forerunner. He not only opens the way to the Tree of Life, he, at the same time IS the Tree of Life.

Rabbi Friedman has hundreds, maybe thousands, of YTs relating Who G-d us, what He wants and needs us to do for Him, what the stories in the Torah mean. It's not a one video concept. It needs time to develop, in stafes of realization.
Thanks for sharing your ideas though they are decidely non Jewish. Not Torah related at all.

in Islam, there is a clearer and clearer answer, Allah Almighty shows himself only to the inhabitants of paradise, and only in paradise, by the will of Allah, he shows himself on a certain day, it will be Friday, no one has seen him before, even angels, angels will only hear the voices of Allah and without a doubt obeys (the order) Allah
there is a reliable hadith: that, among all the creations of Almighty Allah, only the prophet Muhammad, the peace and blessing of Allah, was the best creation of Allah, and communicated with the almighty Lord very close distance it was the day of Miraj, even the Angel Gabriel did not approach or communicate so close distance almighty Allah
