Actually he's right, psychologically siblings are less dependant on each other after about a five year age gap, however they are often closer in other ways (less sibling rivalry, more openness to familial activities, etc.). That doesn't mean it's the case 100% of the time obviously, but the bigger the age gap, the less likely siblings will be close in the way we like to think of "being close."
I have three older brothers and the youngest one is 11,5 years older than me. They moved out when I was a child and basically I grew up as a single child. I love them all but I'm not that close with my two oldest brothers, the youngest one lives near us and visits me and my parents more than the others do, so I'm more close with him. :)

They are 7 years apart, me and my sister are 5 years apart and I can find their relationship in this video relatable. My sister and I are not the closest and have our own separate lives, but unconditionally love, believe and support each other. We both share the same interests in art, and as an older sister much more passionate in it, she majored in Fine Arts, as for me, I kept my talent as a hobby. She is heavily introverted and I am extremely extroverted, she is always productive and I procrastinate. :-) Polar opposites, but still get along well.
I wonder if the people in those cars knew that they were passing the Francos.

Does it really seem that way to you? To me, it seems like they actually know each other very well. They have great chemistry and are joking around.

I don't know why but I got teary-eyed during the more serious parts. God, I'm such a baby sometimes. Eh, but it reminded me of me and my middle sister (I have 3 bros and 3 sisters -____-). Like people keep saying they're distant, but they couldn't look closer in my eyes. Me and my sister could be in the same room together for a whole hour and not say one word to each other or even look at each other, but the second we exchange some kind of communication, it's like we're totally in sync with each other, you know? I could sense chemistry between them, subtle though. Anyway, with my sister it's the same way. She's my sibling that I'm closest to mentally so we'd pretty much say the thing that the other would have on her mind...and we're 4 years apart and we don't see each other much now a days...and now I'm blabbing about my siblings. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure people can relate to the Francos, or even the small tidbit that I typed.

Andrew Walker Yes it does, maybe not in all situations, but after 6 years the dynamic between siblings are less psychologically dependant, that's not an opinion, that's just the biology of humans.
Actually he's right, psychologically siblings are less dependant on each other after about a five year age gap, however they are often closer in other ways (less sibling rivalry, more openness to familial activities, etc.). That doesn't mean it's the case 100% of the time obviously, but the bigger the age gap, the less likely siblings will be close in the way we like to think of "being close."
I have three older brothers and the youngest one is 11,5 years older than me. They moved out when I was a child and basically I grew up as a single child. I love them all but I'm not that close with my two oldest brothers, the youngest one lives near us and visits me and my parents more than the others do, so I'm more close with him. :)
