Bahahaha... it is nice to have "someone else" in the house to eat veggies especially those you don't need so much of, so they are fresher. So I don't have to worry about waste as much.

@@gxlden_cookie8 About 80% of a piggies diet should be hay such as orchard grass. It is dried grass. The cheapest place to find it is often farm supply stores and check their house hay, because often they have low dust with better quality than the small pet options. If you have a local farmer that sells hay you might even get a better deal on a bale of hay. If you give piggies a pile of hay you would be shocked how quickly they will go through it.

This summer the wife and I brought home some corn for dinner one evening, as I was husking the corn; I asked my wife if the guinea pigs could eat the husks, they can.
Well, we found our boys' favourite treat this summer! They squeek and hop and pop when they hear the bag rustling.
So fast forward to today, I am in the grocery store at the corn bin, picking up the husks that others husked in store, free treats for my boys! The cashiers give me odd looks, except one other who does the same thing for her piggies

A baby talk to them and sometimes go “WHEEK WHEEK WHEEK” to mimic them and they look at me like i offended them
Yess one day I tried to mimic a chucking noise and all of my guinea pigs started squeaking and rumblestrutting at me 😅
I always have "conversations" with my piggies and everyone else thinks I'm just being silly and making wheeking noises at Fluffy and S'mores but sometimes I can actually understand what they're saying and I think that sometimes they understand what I mean too!
A good example of one of those situations is when I was going away for vacation for 2 weeks one time. Before I left, I told my piggies: "Hey boys, I'm going to be away for a little while. You will be cared for by one of my friends and they will take good care of you while I'm gone. Bye boys!" and they actually both came to me, licked me on the nose, and then "booped" my nose as if saying, we'll miss you so much, see you soon, Syl!

Whenever my parents say “I’m going to the supermarket. Do you want anything specific?” My immediate answer is lettuce, pepper, cucumber, carrots, celery, apple, kale, spinach, spring mix, and every other fruit or vegetable I can think of 🤣

Yeah but i think i unintentionally got rid of a creep, baby talking my piggies. I think the person was amused. At least thats what i thought i heard in his voice. I think he was an ex neighbors bro, idk. But i dont want to deal w/ him & im sure as hell not gonna open my door for him either. Idk how much more obvious i can be. But like go get some pets or something 😤🖐️.
I did that with all of my hamsters too. I would speak to them in a soft voice and almost speak in an alien language. lol
I just use a sweeter tone when I talk to them but I think the only word they've figured out was food...
Guilty of going through the leftover corn husk at the grocery store....then proceeding to explain to the checkout girl that there is actually not a single piece of corn in the bag it's just husk 🙄
Another weird thing I do: I won’t stop expanding their enclosure! It used to be 3 square feet, and when I realized it was too small, I got 16 square foot cage. It’s 26 square feet now, and there’s no way it’ll stop at that 🤣
Edit: it’s 28 square feet plus a 4 square foot loft now 😂😂
2nd edit: it’s 32 square feet plus a 4 square foot loft now…😂😂😂
3rd edit: it’s 50 square feet with a 4 square foot loft. The pigs are taking over my house!

This is so relatable! Especially the fantasy language. Whenever I walk up the stairs, they start wheeking and stop when I open the door. I'll call them with the word 'Piep', or 'Piepjes', which roughly translate to wheekies or squeakies, and they start wheeking all over again.
I’ll say “BABIES” and clicking noises and they get SO excited. I love it :))
Oh my goodness seeing the piggies boop your face with their noses was the cutest thing
This video personally attacked me on every single point. But I loved it 😂 Sometimes I get too close when they’re sleeping to make sure they’re still breathing. Their little heads pop up, definitely weirder out as to why I’m waking them up during a nap!!

I just wanted to warn and say one of my female pigs lived 10 years and we got her as an adult the other lived twelve witch is insane to me because the average life span is up to 8 so be very careful and aware that you need to be prepared to have a long-lived pet .
I talk constantly to my piggies! The one thing they ALL love the most is when I say "Hi Honey!" Their little heads turn and they talk back, excited ❤️

At the grocery store, you get funny looks because your cart is 80 - 90% veggies, the big part is theirs and your stuff fits in the child seat. lol

I gave all my guinea pigs their own photo folder on my phone, even guinea pigs I had years ago
Mine used to wake me up in the middle of the night so I would feed them Hay! 😂 I brought one into our local tractor supply so we could get our photos taken for the pet wall. I totally do all of these! I love when I get on the floor and I get nose bopped or licked. Little guys full of such personality.
Very funny video and narration. I had to laugh out loud with the segment about six thousand pix of the piggies ( many pix nearly identical... except for slight difference in piggie facial expression!) . Good, charming video.

We had a guinea pig that was a lab rescue in the 80's. He loved to sit on your lap while you watched TV. Though he did get extra treats.
I stand in the store forever looking at the veggies making sure they are fresh I get the looks after the 5th pepper goes in my bag and keep going for more

Yes, that's me at the shops! My greengrocer knows me of old and only today she was putting all kinds of veg. that were in the 'reduced' tray (but still in pretty good condition), in my basket, for nothing. ''Do your guinea pigs eat this? - do your guinea pigs eat that?''...etc! But yes, I also make sure that my guinea's have the best pick of vegetables, when I buy them! I love all of your pigs and feel I know them as if they were my own. Lulu's fur is SO beautiful.

Omg this is so relatable! Laying on the floor with my guinea pigs and having a conversation with them is my favourite thing to do :)
I call “babas” in a really high pitched voice and when my guinea pigs are hungry (all the time) they go crazy and try to jump out of their cage to get their food! 😂
Only with the photos do I realize I treat my original characters like you treat your guinea pigs. Seriously I make alot of them and I send to many to my friend
I always use a tongue click for my Guineas as a calming sound for them and when I feed them I use a rustling sound like crushing a crisp packet

I have photos of my daughter napping on the couch with one of our beloved piggies, a sheltie named Cocoa, when she was 5-6 yrs. old; My daughter is now 30 yrs. old & has a different photo, that I framed & gave her, as an 'apartment-warming present', when she first moved out of the house--Same age of 5-6 yrs. old, but lying on the couch on her stomach, watching Shining Time Station (I think) on PBS, with our other sheltie, Squeakers, sitting on her back . . . He'd just sit there, perfectly content. When the piggies

Years ago when my parents ran a piggy rescue the local veggie market stall would give us the scraps and bits they couldn't sell (we bought all our veggies from them), one of the ladies that worked the stall was a neighbour so she knew it was for a good cause 😊

The part about spending all that time in the fruit and veggie aisle. I was hardly in that section now I spend a lot of time looking for the good veggies and a wide variety of veggies.
We have so many photos of our furry potatoes. You just cannot have one. We also do alot of the things you do. Your babies are so adorable.
That last one is so true for me!!!!!!! I take billions of photos of my piggie boys on my camera and other electronic devices, and even take them on my mom's phone whenever I can! (But sometimes she gets really annoyed when she notices that she has no storage space left on her phone because I took so many photos of Fluffy and S'mores on it.... :D)

I call my guinea pigs either my wee wee's, squeaker wheekers, or my buh buhs. My guinea pigs are shy piggies so instead of squeaking they run and hide when I say those 😂
My herd has named me, my guinea pig name is "oot oot" when I left for college they stopped making that noise and started when I came back. My mom finds it hilarious

My dad can barely afford to fear our guinea pig, let alone own one... we really don't have enough money to buy high-quality food for her, so we just put her on the lawn and feed her leftover veggies, and we might have to give her away because we can't get her everything she needs to be happy, could you please make a vid on like, how to take care of your guinea pig and keep them happy but also not spend a lot of money? Thank you :)
As for a cheap large cage look into c and c cages or use really anything that can cut them off like old shelves or layers of cardboard boxes
