Thank you so much for sharing how you do the haircuts. My son is a young toddler and will not sit still for the life of me, so I can't do scissors. That's why I was looking for a cut with clippers only and this was so helpful! I will try it, it looks great on your boys.
How did it go? My son is 1.5 and won't sit for scissors. He screams at the salon. We've tried twice. I have clippers at home and I want to try it but there's no way I can do a fade for him, he won't sit that long.
Thank you so much for sharing. You seem like a really good dad. My son has Asperger's and will not wear a mask in the salon, so I am going to try to convince him to let me do it myself. I will definitely be using these tips if he agrees.
Hi! I have a son with high functioning autism. When it comes to things like that I give him little doses and slowly increase them. Have you tried putting the mask on perhaps under the chin and not covering the mouth at all? If he accepts it u could leave it on then move it up slowly once he's comfy with it then so on... Clippers made my son have a meltdown. So I turned them on for 5 Seconds in another room. Then 10 seconds etc.. once he was ok I did it for 5 seconds in same room etc.. Now I can run it no prob. I'm not suggesting I'm some expert and you aren't:) I can just relate to your dilemma and wanted to reach out. I wish you luck. :)
Thanks, that was super cute. I wanted to see how other people clip their sons’ hair. I do pretty much the same thing only I leave the top long. I just trim the back and sides so we can go much longer between haircuts.
I’m trying to help a friend whose son has autism (low end of the spectrum, possibly MR). He (the child) is very sensitive and will scream, scratch and try to run away and sometimes even bite, I am so scared to use a scissor. I have some experience working with children with autism as a paraprofessional. Thank you for your tutorial. I was able to what I could with just the clippers, he (the child with autism) did not appreciate the cape and ripped it apart. But I was able to give him the hair cut while making sure he doesn’t have a lot of trimmed hair stuck on his body.
I’m so confused at what you are talking about. Rough? Spitting? You might find more joy in your life off of UA-cam not commenting on random videos. Have a great day!
Thanks so much for this video! I followed it tonight and gave my 2 year old a great looking haircut at home.
I really wanna learn and I don't care if I have to watch this a thousand times but I'm trying to learn for my baby and husband

Is that your son? That is very rough treatment.
Haha! The video was sped up. I’m not sure what you are feeling was rough about this video?
