This is going to become an entirely new garden for you to 'play' in. Hehe - the more you (Gary) move and change, the more ideas you'll get for more changes. Bottom line is to make things easy for you and in a way you're happy with. You are definitely so lucky to have Gary for you to talk gardening ideas with, do the physical work and yes, to love.
I love it when the gears are turning in your head, and great ideas pop out! Thanks, I love your tote ideas! Gary is an awesome helper, and gardener too. ❤🐶❤🤠❤
Omg Robbie! You are so fortunate to have a husband into gardening as much as you! You can tell he absolutely loves it and loves helping you. Bless you both. I have been blessed with all of your ideas, which has made tote gardening so exciting! Love you❤!
I have been gardening for 60 years. I'm 80 and that is what happened to me. I waited to prepare the totes and was exhausted in the Spring. Also the animals eating things this year has been crazy. The weather this week has been 97 to 101. I also have a cat dying. Those of us who love our pets go through this. I'm between San Fran and San Jose.
@@nicolerinceI am so sorry for your beloved pet, your cat. Thank you for all this and this has been a very unusual year in many ways when it comes to the weather and growing. Take care and let’s hope for a better year for 2025.❤
I love the new changes. I also love you aren't afraid to try something and if it doesn't work change your mind. Being flexible in the garden is always good.
I just love you both!! Dear sweet helpful Gary & dear Robbie full of ideas!! What an amazing marriage you have!! That’s what I call true love ❤️ & partnership!! 🙌🏻🦋🙏🏻
That was hysterical. Gary saying he wanted to get it done before you changed your mind again. Love it.!!!! Along your wall - I am looking at those shelves you have bordering some of those beds. I am wondering if you spaced 2 chairs with totes on them and then laid the shelves between the 2 chairs and wired it to the arms then the melons could vine onto the shelves and that would keep them off the ground while giving them more room to roam.
I love that you both love growing 😍 and how your my garden soul mother I think we feel the same on Many things. I wish I could tour your lovely garden and home .. I live in Louisiana so many growing differences and similarities.. ❤ Y'all are just awesome....
My goodness Robbie I can’t believe how fast Gary works!! I remember a video where he was using a cane!! Keep gardening is keeping you so strong & healthy!! Much love ❤️ admiration as always!! 🙌🏻🦋🙏🏻
Can we please clone GARY!!! What a phenomenal team you both make. Love the plans for the wall, take advantage of the warmth it will offer. You have to do what works for You!
This is a great plan - Gary can repurpose the high tunnel, and setting up warm weather crop totes by the wall makes complete sense. It’s going to look great! Will you be changing out the pond as well? Can’t wait to see the new bird fountain ⛲️ video!!
I hope you make a video on how you covered your dog kennel to make it a greenhouse!! We have four 10x10 kennels that look almost the same as yours (ours came from Tractor Supply) and I have used them for my chicken coops for about 5+ years. for the past two years I've been saying I want to turn 3 of them into greenhouses when my hens start getting old and pass away. Well, unfortunately some have died of old age recently so im ready to cover one of them. I'm betting you have used dollar tree shower curtains in some way? Can't wait to see!!
I have about 15 Moringas, they will die with frost. I cover with burlap when it is going to frost. Cut some branches and it will grow thicker on the base.
Interesting thought, but once you paint some thing, then it has to be painted every year to two years, I think we’ll just leave the wall as it is, but thanks for the suggestion, As it’s really warm enough 😊
What will keep the squirrels from climbing on the chairs? I have a squirrel problem and they have actually smashed a number of bird feeders and tropical plants. Can't seem to get rid of them.
Around 9:57 when Gary said "there could be a space in between" a bird made a high pitched screech & continued 'beeping' for several minutes. I was wondering if you know what bird it is?
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy Oh, Thank you so much. I searched for info on Towhees & the sound is exactly like what I hear in my back yard. Reminds me of the chirp of a smoke detector, when the battery is low. So cool to learn the name of another bird in my desert area.
I love Gary and all his energy, he's awesome around the garden helping you.
@@AliceArdoin Oh Yes ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love him so 💕

I was wondering the same thing - to have some sort of support for squash and melons.

@Robbie and Gary I would turn that metal tunnel arch into a gourd tunnel. Google gourd tunnel.
Loved this video, getting the wall done. Looking good
That’s a serious retaining wall. You should plant Boston ivy Green showers from Monrovia growers or creeping fig minima variety.

Paint your wall black- retains the heat ... Don't forget rosemary to deter deer

I have the same problem with squirrels. I put squirrel feeders in my front yard to keep them out of my back yard. It works most of the time.
Around 9:57 when Gary said "there could be a space in between" a bird made a high pitched screech & continued 'beeping' for several minutes. I was wondering if you know what bird it is?
That sounds like a Towhee but the Ground Squirrels also make a similar sound

Where do you get your 1/4 inch wire?
@KatMac5 - I'm not Robbie but I got my 1/4 inch wire at Lowe's.
Oh I would never plant garlic chives again. They take over everything.
