Great observation that Erin hides her craftiness it becomes a constant of the story when she comes into contact with high levelled individuals. Erin uses her dumb and carefree exterior to hide her craftiness, it is not that she is stupid but she really wants to live where her dumb exterior thrive. Also Erin hypocrisy is one of the point and biggest flaw of her character , you will see how it gets explored in the future. Edit: Imo second half of book 4 and first half of book 6 are weakest section of wandering inn so I hope you don't get discouraged by those sections.Also I recommend watching mariner's voyages review of wandering inn vol 2, he does a really great job. I'm caught up to the latest book and the books just keep getting better and better. Erin really does become one of the best characters I ever read.
