I feel like all these toy companies can’t decide what color Thanos is. This paint color is more in line with how he originally appeared in GOTG when he was more bluish violet. In infinity War, they changed him to a lighter almost magenta color, but pretty much every toy to come out, save maybe the Legends three pack, all have him with the darker skin color. It’s just makes deciding which one to get harder since no matter what the sculpt looks like or what accessories there are, you’ll never get one that’s completely accurate unless you shell out like $400 for the Hot Toys one.

The SHF is modeled after official concept art, hence why the colors are brighter and cleaner. The colors on the ML are modeled after his actual look in the film.
Love this Figuarts Thanos. I'm getting most of this line for Infinity War. I actually sold roughly 50 of my older, boxed up legends to be able to afford the new Figuarts Hulkbuster. Great video, Shartimus!
The body is a bit on the stealth side on the SHF figure in my opinion. I think the wider, bulkier body mold of the legends figure is more accurate. The BAF fist also swaps perfectly, making the Legends figure that much cooler. For the price, Legends for sure. Awesome poses at the end, especially the gauntlet removal attempt!

Honestly, I'd take the Figuarts Thanos hands down. I was getting worried the First Ten Years pack version would end up being better but having this one in hand I have no need for it. The standard head is pretty much perfect and a big reason why I like it so much. The other big reasons are the alternate hands and heads and then the build of the figure. The ML version's torso is just way too square and has no neck, which was too hard to get over. Figuarts got the build down and that helps the figure a lot for me.
The sculpting and detail looks perfect, but the color is definitely off. He should have been a lot darker and for the price they should have done an ink wash on all the exposed skin, similar to how they did it on the chin. If I ever get this figure the first thing I'd do is break out my black ink wash! The gold of the gauntlet is also way too yellow.
You are absolutely right Shartimus; It seems like a decent figure in terms of articulation and likeness to the movie however, I think the color is a tad bit off.
I prefer the SHF physique/sculpt over the ML. Plus, it doesn't have that glossy plastic-looking shine to it that the ML has. But I agree though, there are definitely a few little things that they could've improved with the SHF version (chiefly the blue skin tone, which I fail to see how they could've gotten that part wrong. Clearly it should've been purple).
A figure as expensive as this should simply never disappoint. It should only meet or exceed high expectations, but figuarts never do, because they're heinously overpriced. I fully support customs and bootlegs because of the overpricing, because the more people buy customs and bootlegs, the more those small manufacturers can afford to make better figures, and the more competitive they will be, forcing the likes of Bandai to either lower their prices or raise their quality.
For me personally, I'm holding out for Avengers 4 Thanos figures, as I don't feel life we've gotten a definitive version yet. Either the face sculpt is off, the articulation doesn't really work, or the paint is janky. I'm holding out

The proportions and articulation of this thanos is better but the sculpt, scale, and paint (I think the paint) is better on the marvel legends is better.
The problem I have with the Gauntlet hands is that the stones are way too smooth. I mean they had some bumps and jagged spots on them in all the films. Great Review, but I prefer the 3 pack version of Thanos.
They put the space stone in the third hole in the gauntlet in the movie the power stone is next to the space stone and the third one is support to be the reality
I'll take the SHFA Thanos ALL DAY over the ML version as the latter looks bloated, has the strange looking cuts in the upper legs (since a BAF re-paint), QC issues (a/k/a made by Hasbro), & virtually no accessories. Plus it's total BS that Hasbro issued this version only shortly after the original BAF version & then stuck it in a 3-pack req. another $70 plus tax to get which is very existing customer unfriendly (which you failed to mention). I'm glad I preordered SHFA Thanos as looks fantastic IMO & aligns way better with rest of SHFA IW line. If you are a ML collector, get the ML version as scales way better with other ML (if you're not turned off by Hasbro's existing customer unfriendliness). Thanks for the review though.
But SH Figuarts are garbage. Really. Only fanboys thinks SH figuarts are better than other figures. For $60, $80 that line is like shit. (Anime, comic, movies). For Best figures in, 1/12 go for Mezco. Mezco fucks every Day Bandai... Haahaha
I just got into SH FIguarts Marvel figures (sigh :P ) and I had to get him to fight with Hulk, Worthy Cap and Mark 85 Iron Man figures and he looks fantastic. I love the looks of Thanos from Infinity War over End Game... the less armor and the gauntlet just look awesome.
I feel like that right hand was meant more to be a “stone dropping” more than a snapping fingers hand. I do feel like he should be a bit more bulkier. He is a bit too clean. I now see what Shartimus means...his skin does look like candy hahaha. The Legends version has more detail and to me. However this Figuarts version has more range with the arms shoulders. You can actually pose him dropping a stone on the gauntlet.
The "snapping finger" could also be used to show Thanos putting a gem in the gauntlet

I've got all three Film Thanos' (Thani?) And I have to give it to the three-pack ML in pretty much all depts. Just wasn't expecting that to happen.
The figuarts one has no shading on the skintone and not enough weathering on the armour. The sculpt and the anatomy is good tho.

I have the avenges infinity war s.h. Figure Thanos to and the time zone is completely green and the other stones are normal colours like in movies
