This man, doctor Finkelstein is a living library. Thank you for your thoughts, always opening the mind of whoever is listening.
Whose library?. Research is best done with first source evidence, not that written in books., ( although references can lead to first source msterial) Norman is at best a postulator.
Every now and then I need to hear Norman Finkelstein (and Noam Chomsky) speak on the Palestine/Israeli conflict in order to restore my sanity.
Noam Chomsky has become a bit whackadoodle lately. I have at times thought while listening to his recent talks what the heck has happened to him.
yes! I feel the same. Their wisdom is like an anchor, hurrah!!
He says he's not a great mind. But I see a great mind. He literally quotes all these meticulous details from his mind. And very accurately if you go and check from the sources. Not many can do that. He is one of his kind. His way of presenting it all is so beautiful.
Forensic research? Genocide, open air prison, etc , incendiary words are not evidence of forensic study.
33 year old Palestinian-American lawyer here from Chicago. I remember stumbling upon the scholarship of Dr. Finkelstein when I was 18 years old and it changed my life forever. Miss hearing him speak with laser precision and wit.
I used to regularly hear him speak at DePaul in my late teens when I was first becoming interested in Israel/Palestine. I’m re-reading The Holocaust Industry right now. He’s brilliant
@@booooo-urns Seems like Norman is the one thats making an industry out of the whole issue.

Seems like any label is only worth the brain handing it out
I am pretty poor but I apologize for the USA and I hope that you’re alive and well! ❤🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸❤️
Most underrated scholar in the world
What a beautiful man! How much better this world would be if we could all be more like him?
Norman Finkelstein’s unfailing attention to detail is extraordinary and heroic.
The brilliance of Professor Finkelstein's discourse always makes my jaw drop.
"Young people today they don't know me anymore" I am 20 years and I love and admire your courage I would put you as king of Arabia for your work you are a living legend for me
It is so sweet to read !
I am 19 and Finkelstein is a hero of mine.
I love that man. There’s a reason why the MSM never mentions him.
I have met him twice. He is a great human being, a true voice for justice.
I could listen to Finkelstein for hours.Brilliant sense of humour as well and his laugh is so infectious. "Theyre not neo-nazis. Theyre nazis" had me laughing out loud.
Lucky guy
Cool
When we have a guest who has literally given their life to a subject and been marginalized for their work, we should endeavour to give them a fitting introduction. If our current generation produces intellectuals half as capable as Finklestein and Chomsky, we can consider ourselves very lucky indeed.
Thank you gentlemen, for bringing us this interview.
Spot on. I got his 'Gaza inquest into their martyrdom' for Xmas, it was as good as anything hes written. Now hes not getting many talks, maybe we need to remind people how good his books are and supporting him and his publishers is a good idea?
Holocaust Industry is free online but his rebuttal of Ari Shavit Old Wine, Broken bottle is epic!
I love you Norman Finkelstein. As a South African born of almost 80 years of age I am convinced that your words touch the hearts of fair minded Judaic Jews The word homeland was a derogatory term in S A. Leads one to the idiotic moronic thinking of some politicians. The Jews homeland is the world for God’s sake. Leave the holy land to the peaceful Abrahamic faiths and indeed all other faiths or none who wish yo pay their respects. By the way Jews played a huge roll in my non white school upbringing. Respect begets Respect! The Israeli prime minister’s body language is a disgrace to the Great Prophet Musa (Moses) AS. Peace be upon him. Salam Shalom to all.
@@hamonryechinaski180 Everyone knows how Alan Dershowitz silenced him using his position of privilege however, unfortunately a lot of people don't know that he was still publicly speaking after that. His public engagements were affected because of the narrow mindedness of the BDS movement and I am saying that as a strong supporter of Palestinian liberation. Norman has been on record saying he supports BDS as a tactic and has boycotted Israel himself. However, he had a difference of opinion with the political platform of BDS on strategy. Instead of agreeing to disagree and still valuing his expertise, they threw him under the bus. That's an extremely toxic trait in the Palestinian solidarity movement. This man has dedicated his life to a cause and suffered the loss of his career and reputation because of it without once complaining and the youngsters of BDS didn't have the basic tolerance to accept that there will and should be certain diverging opinions in a solidarity movement. Until such puritanical litmus tests are thrust on people who've sacrificed for their principles and have been one of the first people in the US to speak against Israel at a time when it was virtually unheard of and resulted in death threats, unfortunately nothing positive can be achieved. They lost their most powerful, vocal and informed supporter because of their intolerance and self righteous, ego.
Norman is a treasure!
He’s a legend!
He is.
Absolutely
Give Norman the Nobel peace prize, no one deserves it more, it's crime it has not been given to him.
brilliant discussion.. Hats off to prof Finkelstein!
That was great! Lovely seeing Dr Finkelstein laughing and engaging in a more free manner and yet imparting vital knowledge.
Dr. Finkelstein is a force to be reckoned with. I have had the opportunity to meet him a few times and to attend a few of his lectures. He knows this topic like almost no one else on the planet! Unfortunately, he is a lonely voice......and he is aging. I wonder who will take up the cause when he retires?
Good point..he needs an intern.
Having prof. Finklestein as a guess on your podcast is a testament to the honesty and intellectual integrity of your podcast and its host.
I will definitely contribute what I can to your podcast and order his new book today.
I have read all of his books.
Great guy
Wait I'm confused. Isnt this your channel
Farzan Danish I think he was referring to the guest. Also he hosts this programme on Islam21c channel, not his own channel. :)
Faatimah Bint Muhammad that’s correct, I am an OKish guy myself.

Thank you for giving a public voice to Dr. Norman Finkelstein and for nudging his generous sense of humor.
Dr Norman Finkelstein is a legend
Nice to see Norman in such good spirits!
Prof. Finkelstein's remarks to not fall into the "trap" of talking about vague terms like 'Zionism' or 'semitism', but instead about concrete issues , like the discrimination of non-jewish citizens in Israel or the Israely war crimes, crimes against humanity and the ILLEGAL occupation, is much more effective to combat those crimes. Also get the ICC to judge and confirm that Israel is a rogue apartheid state that also Illegally occupies Palestinian territory and killed unarmed protesters, journalists, medics and children, will definitely do justice.
Really so great to see this, thank you for this lovely interview!
Ahmed with the excellent questions Ma Sha Allah
Norman makes me happy ...
im so glad to have found this show
His beyond our time, absolutely an amazing logician and rhetorician- his words are very precise and purposeful. Love the humour by the way makes watching the whole thing in one go more doable
He's such a handsome man on top of being a brilliant mind with integrity and courage!
What a great man is Norman Finkelstien
Such a lively discussion... thank you sir Norman Finkelstein for your hardwork and passionate support for truth and justice rather than a Palestine or Israel issue... you have invested such amount of time and intellect to delineate right from wrong... that is exactly what any human should stand for...#stand with justice
#stand with truth
This was great! Dr. Norm was drinking his happy juice that day!
He is so amazing... Real hero...his thoughts are nobles....hope one day Israel and Palestinian live side by side like in the past
Just bought his book I ACCUSE!
Dr. Norman Finkelstein is well versed in Palestine and its illegally occupation by apartheid regime of Israel! He is very down to earth, hard working, knowledgeable human being!
HeYou agree with him, that's all.
@@janetkleboe8616 Of course. No objection to any of his points from any reasonable person.
"Points" are not facts. You could try thinking for yourself and perhaps try your own research.

What a jewel of the person!

Subhan Allah, what an extraordinary situation, so a man who has dedicated his life to fighting injustice is being treated like a pariah whereas the woman who behaved without any scruples and changed sides [at least according to appearances... ] then creates the 'perfect' storm to weaken the Palestinian fight.
I love him! Was great to meet him.

Good stuff
Good show.
You guys shouldve let him rant more he's hilarious
He speaks the truth as he sees is, but hilarity isn't an emotion that springs to mind. This was a serious discussion.
@@asiyasparkles and "rant" doesn't fit either but there were was a bit of gallows humour involved
@@asiyasparkles No, he prides himself on his humour, which I love -- at least when it's not too rude! Anyway, humour is an essential and necessary part of the truth, including pointing out the absurdity of the oppressor's lies.
@@asiyasparkles He does use humor as a tool to get some of his points across and to keep people's attention perhaps. It's more a sardonic humor which I found effective and also a psychological break from if he strictly just talked about such grim issues with no areas of relief as the subject matter I do agree with you is very serious. I feel he still addressed it well as he usually does and the bits of humour here and there didn't impede the message but perhaps kept the attention of more people than if he hadn't included it.
I have a very high regard for Dr Finkelstein and I think what he has been put through is so unfair. I don’t agree with him but he is one of the great ones!!
What don't you agree with him about?
I know that Dr Finkelstein, who is a brilliant scholar, can go on a bit -- but he is fascinating, informative, and funny; and the interruptions from the hosts always seem to come at just the wrong time.
Great man ,can see through these frauds lies.
What seems sad to me is that these are children of Holocaust survivors who are doing this to the Palestinians...
and there are some like Norman who fight against these injustices at great personal cost. He threw an extremely promising career down the drain when he chose to stand by his principles (and the truth) !
I've been an ardent follower for almost 15 years. I can think of no deeper praise or thanks than to say that I deeply wish & pray for him to become my brother in Islam.
If you are secure in your faith, and truly feel its sweetness & believe it to be a beautiful thing, then you should want others to share in it (like I told my Anglican priest chaplain friend, telling him that I do not take offense at him wanting this for me & rather that I would question his faith if he didn't!!!)
This guy speaks a lot of sense.
Dr Norman he is good. Finally someone talk the real things.
Norman asking two Muslims what's being discussed in a Liverpool pub

I think it is to do with the culture or religion that makes the people believe that they're superior to others and that makes them unkind to others. People growing up into such environment naturally imbibe the qualities of being unkind to others. Therefore perpetuating the hostility.
Adamsin Norman Finkelstein
Occupation? from who themselves LOL
Subhan Allah, i think the terrible thing about the alleged courts of justice is that anything barr justice is served in them. The eyes see - yet it is not enough, the heart feels, this is discounted, the rights and wrongs are apparent- but not in a court of law. That makes the whole issue of law to be [judicial whispers...]. .. It is a fallacy to imagine that true justice can ever be served in a court of law. =(
Also, Chomsky went off the rails quite a while ago.
How so?
hasbun Allahu wa ni'amal wakeel. How vile that a criminal has jurisdiction over its criminal behaviour =(
It’s an hilarious film, and he said ‘what’d u say’ not what did you say, hence it DID sound like: what jew say? 🤣 oh-the movie is titled: Annie Hall. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
I understand his point and agree that you must stick to legitimate legal greivances. But exactly what has been gained for the Palestinian people by adhering to the rules based order?
maybe not much, but he's trying his best, and has done so for decades
@@peterdonnelly1074 I'm fully behind his work. But how can you lead a struggle based on legal issues when your opponent blatantly ignores all the laws involved.
