Synopsis:
After a botched bank robbery in Mexico, bandit Rio (Marlon Brando) is betrayed and left to be captured by his partner, Dad Longworth (Karl Malden). Sentenced to years in a brutal prison, Rio escapes with vengeance on his mind. Tracking Longworth to Monterey, California, he discovers that his former friend has reinvented himself as a respected sheriff.
