Oli Boy came to Bangladesh as a student. And now he is slowly slowly entering into our music sector. I am glad that i found him through coke Studio and become a big fan...
Very interesting...I see someone else mentions his connection to the clothing business too. Glad we're also now aware of him - I'll check out his other songs :)
Thank you my brothers for the lovely reaction and appreciation of the music, tradition and culture of Bangladesh. This song was made in recognition of the traditional weaving heritage of our country. Bengal in particular Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh was rich in Muslin but that was stopped during the British colonial rule where our loom weavers were put out of business and even punished physically by the British. Our resources were stolen for the benefit of Britain. Weaving is one of the many traditions in our country, and Jamdani saree is famous all over the world. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Mughal Bengal emerged as the foremost muslin exporter in the world, with Mughal Dhaka as capital of the worldwide muslin trade. It became highly popular in 18th-century France and eventually spread across much of the Western world. Dhaka muslin was first showcased in the UK at The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations in 1851. The backstory of this song is available in the description. English subtitles are also available on this song.
Good to see you guys! Whenever I see this channel of yours , it gives me some mesmerizing memories with my South African friend with whom I completed my bachelor degree abroad. Keep it going guys…love from BD ❤
A loom is a type of machine that spins cotton or Fabrics can be made from cotton yarn.Who makes clothes with this machine is called the weaver. This hand-woven cloth of Bangladesh has been our favorite for almost 2 thousand years. This song is composed about a weaver and a tat artist. The artistes of the song have beautifully rendered it with melody and instruments.Love the presence of the Nigerian artiste and an South african instrument in the song. The opening song of Coke Studio Bangla season 3 is good overall.
TAT means, make lacework by knotting or looping. To tat is to make lace. Tatting involves making loops and tying knots in a long piece of thread over and over again. Most of the lace made today is created with a machine, and the ability to tat, or make lace by hand, is rare. Tatting requires a lot of silk or cotton thread and either a metal disc called a "shuttle," needles, or a crochet hook. And TATI mean, weaver. What does it do? Answer: Work at a loom; weave. And where does it sit and do the work? Answer: Weaver's Workshop.
This song is a real masterpiece by Arnob, but the honest reactions from two native Africans, the sparkle in your eyes made my day!! I feel very proud to be a Bangladeshi. Take Love 🥰 #TATI #JAMDANI #SHAREE
To fully understand the first part of the song, it is recommended to read its English translation. The song highlights the traditional Bangladeshi Saree called Jamdani, crafted by skilled weavers using a wooden handloom. This handloom Saree has been a part of Bangladeshi culture for centuries. The lyricist of this part of the song is Mr. Gonjer Ali, who is himself a weaver and a vocalist. The song starts with the rhythmic sound of the wooden handloom, which is beautifully portrayed in the opening scenes. The atmosphere has been created to connect with the lyrics of the song. Arnab's song part discusses the silk yarn used to weave this fabric. Shatarupa Thakurta Roy wrote this part of the song. The third part of the song is known as Jamdani Bulli, which is the directive given to the young weavers of the fabric by the old skilled weaver of the family while weaving. Oli Boy's part of the song makes it universal. It reveals one of the Nigerian languages translated into English. Oli Boy, a musician and businessman, currently lives in Bangladesh. Arnab has explained in his note why Oli Boy is a part of the episode. Enjoy the song! It's a great rendition!
I was waiting for you guys and to see your reaction, particularly for our Nigerian collaboration. Oli Boy is quiet well-known in the Dhaka club scene. He's pretty popular and liked and I'm so glad to see him performing.
Hello everyone from Bangladesh, Please do not focus on this music and its reactions; they are highly compensated.Coca-Cola is making every effort to persuade us to buy their products; instead, we should focus on innocent Palestinians and continue to boycott. We can do it.✊
So this is the best idea you could come up with to help Palestinians? How many Palestinians will be saved if I don’t look at the Coke logo for 24 hours? Stop pretending like you’re doing something useful and actually do something useful.
First of all thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for reacting an incomparable song that shows the heritage of Bengali, I came to your channel for the first time, I like your reaction very much, my mind is very moved, I hope you will be with Bengali songs, you will introduce Bengali songs to everyone. We will always be with you, I love my country from Bangladesh.🇧🇩
A lot of reviewers complaining about the inclusion of the Nigerian singer but they actually missed the whole concept of the song. These tati they use different threads of different colors to make one piece of clothing , the saree (could be anything)and that's unity which oli boy was trying to represent in this song
The OG, Coke Studio Pakistan has released its first track from the brand new Season 15....the wait is over...it's finally here...Aayi Aayi!!!! Get reacting to it lads!!!
