I would want to ask,like do I have to stay in a vrchat world and stay there for 12 hours?If I leave the world to join a different world does it restart the timer and I have to wait again?if I get off vrchat does the timer stay at whatever hour it is at that time or does it reset to?I'm asking this,because I been on vrchat for over a month and haven't gotten a different user rank.

I'm a bit thankful that the Legendary and VRChat Team ranks are pretty much impossible to get. It was long enough to get Trusted eventually, and I'm pretty much currently working on getting Vetaran rank. Thank you for the explanation! :>
After 1800+ hours I would sum it up like this, there are friends, potential friends and non-friends. Trusted means they made avatars or worlds. Apart from that the rank system doesnt really say much about people.
To think I could have been a Legend if I wasn't always told you need VR to play...Since I don't have a computer powerful enough to be "PC-VR ready" I didn't even try to look up the game's page for the longuest time. Somehow, people kept telling me you need VR anyway (they ment "it's not worth it without VR/Fullbody" but that nuance I didn't understand at the time) so I just listened to the advice, looking at the mysterious "and very elite" game in youtube videos. xD

No wonder I dint get a proper explanation (a few random people/friends pointed me out that I'm legendary rank) I was so oblivious about it n just laugh it off thinking they were messing with me. The video pretty great the explanation n your personal remark on each rank is agreable. (wished u used the stationary camera rather than your view angle) About me. I started playing August 2017... I left a few years for study. I can't really recall if I did anything to be honest... In fact I don't think I deserve it... I only have 2000hours+ I'm not an influencer nor a content creator. I just play around with creating stuff n occasionally jump in vrchat laughing at my struggles with the people I meet. I did help maybe around 40+ people about models (before tutorials were made 2017-2018)...but comparing to the people who really shaped vrchat community... Im just a normal bystander.

As i stated in the video, visitors are on trail by even VRChat, we trusted and veteran and legendary users need to keep this platform good so we ‘screen’ all visitors. I also stated not everyone is bad. About quests, if you play as much as i so, you would understand that the quest 2 brough a huge army of screaming childeren to the game, i have quest friends and it’s just harder to find them. I have at least around 1,2k hours ( 563 hours on steam and 600+ on oculus) and i have 239 friends that are user, known, trusted, and 3 legendary users friended, i dont get blocked or muted, visit many public worlds and i still stuck in known user
Most people that are bad are the people that just made an account to ‘meme’ or bully people, so it’s getting harder for older players to trust visitors, most block their audio or avatars and there is not much i can do. I am trying my best to help the shinies getting a nice experience in the game, by friending them and introducing them to my community ^^ to say it short, not all visitors are bad, but most bad are visitors, trusted are second place. I do agree it’s very depressing but sadly that’s what happens when people took advantage of the ranks back in 2019. This video is outdated since the updates of 2022 but still visitors get a 12 hour long trial that VRChat made not us, you can’t speedrun new user rank. Also thank for watching my video ^^

open the quick menu and on or left or right sides, open the wings and select your profile, then scroll down and it will tell you your rank, also if you click on select user and look up you see your own nametag and rank

@@LemonCupcakeVRInfinity Saying that the Legendary rank is deleted is poor wording. It's still attached to each account that got it, you can see it on the VRChat website if you check look at the behind stuff. You can also see it using some third party friends list viewers. Saying that the people who got the legendary rank "deserved it" makes it sound as if though they did good stuff for the VRChat community as a whole, which is not the case at all. The Legendary user rank was/is(?) given out according to some unknown algorithm that checks a bunch of things; playtime, friends, and the likes. One thing of note I believe plays a large role in whether or not you get the rank is who you're friends with. I got at least 150 Legendary people on my friends list, and I know for a fact some of them did nothing productive for VRChat, but they know and interacted with other legendary users, and then I also know others who'd fit each and every criteria other than knowing the right people, due to this I believe it has to do with who you know. On the topic of the VRChat Team. I got 4 of them on my friends list, but I got more than 4 VRChat employees on my friends list. What do the 4 who have the rank have in common? They're not developers, they do everything else: public relations, economics, community management and such. It could also be that the ones that don't have the rank just chose not to have it, I know that would most definitely be the case with one of them. I found it kinda funny with the whole talk about how the Veterans were bad when they were first introduced. I at the time didn't have the rank, but a friend of mine who's new account was way younger and less time on and so on did have it, which I found weird, and we made fun of it for a bit. Move forward a year or two and I find myself in the Black Cat and some people by the mirror are talking about legendary users, and they then mention me, which was how I learnt I had it and that it was a thing. I just knew the Veteran rank was still a thing up until then. Anyway, the video is a bit long, praises Legendary users way too much, but otherwise decent. 6/10. This is a pretty great explanation but I would like to add that the time spent in vrchat does not always level accounts up. I got known user after only about 194 hours. The reason why is because uploading avatars and worlds contributes greatly to the level. I've also been told that the trust level of your friends increases your level too. If your friends with a legendary user it will grant a lot more XP than being friends with a visitor. Although the amount given is still small in the grand scheme of things it does make a difference.
As a Legendary User (5.400 hours) since 2017 playing i didnt even know i have the rank until a friend told me because i dont use mods and i feel honored to have it.

After over 4.500 Hours and having Legendary rank (can still see it on the Browser console on the Website), all i can say is.. even in VRChat, you never stop learning about any things, no matter if old or new stuff. But the worst part about VRChat are the Crashers... the most Hardcore ones even making the PC Bluescreen. But even with all the bad things, i still shared a lot of time with people that started out as New User when i met them, and are now very good friends and in Thrusted Rank. And very good and detailed explanation in the Video.
150 hours, 7 worlds, and 19 avatars - trusted user How to rank up quickly: Spend time in public lobbies (xp only rewarded when headset is ON, not desktop mode or AFK) Upload quality worlds - download free asset packs and build your own worlds (super fun) Upload avatars - since these are private you can shitpost them if you're desperate. Add friends - start getting people with higher ranks like trusted and known to like you, then friend them. (biggest xp boosts at 80 then 100 friends)

I got many of those ranks much earlier. Known for me was around the 100-hour mark Trusted around 250 and Veteran around 1k Though to say I DO upload VRchat avatars and maintain my Avatar world. Many of the Ranks depend on your activity. Things that may affect your Rank Time (smol amounts) Avatar uploading (Moderate amount) World uploading (high amounts) VRC+ ( Major amounts) Registering your VRC Account ( Major amounts) People Friending you. (Variable depending on rank of person that is friending you) Things that negatively affect your rank: Blocks Mutes Avatar Hides Reports As For my alt. Which I made for Uploading a separate set of avatars I don't want to be associated with my Main. I got it to skip New User all together and jump straight to User. It just AFK'd by a Mirror while I was away from home for Christmas and I gifted it VRC+ cause Wynaut.
yeah, i would say time is minimal in terms of ranking. I'm somewhere in the 500 hour department and still have a user rank, which is fair since i have not really uploaded anything onto vrc. hopefully that changes soon.

I joined VRC at the end of November in 2021, when I got my Index, I was a "new user" for like 4 weeks, then I made a relatively simple but neat world after learning a bunch about it (brain is still smoldering), got myself VRC+ because I like to support the devs and got catapulted from "new user" directly to "known user", pratically skipping the average-joe "user" thingy. It almost felt a little awkward and unfair, especially if people have been in VRC for ages now and still didn't get much of promotion. I'm currently at 135h actively playing VRC. :D Question: Do private worlds and avatars count to the contributions, or do they need to be made public?
You get more ‘points’ if you upload public avatar or worlds because if you upload public stuff, other players can ‘clone avatar’ and ‘join’ world -> give you popularity vs private where it’s ’just you’

nuisance rank can be seen as -X hours. You can get out of it again, but the hours you have to invest without acting like an ass are quite high🤣 it is then easier to create a new account🤣 I went to one of the usual worlds where new games can be found, this French DJ Art World (I don't remember the name of this one) and met a trusted user who was bullying visitors and new users. Then I reported it and it made him so mad that he shouted like a COD kid. I then simply blocked him as I was still a visitor at the time, which probably hurt his ego even more🤣
I right now have 4,400 hours on vrchat (Veteran User) and I’ve been playing since November 2018. I feel like if I played a few months earlier I would’ve been Legendary but whatever, I just wanted a pink username because it’s my favorite color lol
with VRC+, 2 worlds, 6 avatars, 29 friends and only 59 hours i was able to get known user, VRC+ and uploading content will def increase it the most in the shortest time (edit) - Hit Trusted rank at 170 hours, 3 worlds (1 got approved), 20+ avatars uploaded, 70 friends & VRC+
For some reason it took me foreverrrrr to get Known user I had over 700 hours or so at the time Coming up on 600/700 friends and up loaded a few worlds and avis (private tho) and as far as I was aware I wants being blocked or anything Yet I still couldn't get it Eventually did tho But thennnnn I couldn't get Trusted even when i hit 1k hours and friends I only got it when i got vrc+ and idk why xdd

I was honestly suprised and forgot to look up a explanation on how i may have obtained it but now it came back to mind after talking to said friend so i found your video. Same with over 100 hours. I've uploaded worlds, 10 avatars, hang out in public lobbies all the time, and have many friends. Not sure what i'm doing wrong
@@FunkyFox75 another thing that helps is that buying vrc plus for a month will boost your ranking to the next rank in about a day or two at user and below. My friend was a user for the longest amount of time, bought vrc plus and got known user as soon as he restarted his game to apply his vrc plus photo. Same thing happened to me, I bought it at user and got to known user in 3-5 days later after hitting user.
I'm not a person that cares much for ranks in any game (explains why I'm still a User in VRC) But I heard my friend talking about it and that's what led me to this video.

it's not really a 'rule' it's more a average score i made after asking more then 1000 known users at how they got the rank, with VRC+ you can skip this whole video rank up xD

The moment you stop ‘playing’ the AFK mode goes on and makes it not count as rank up gameplay ^^

open the quick menu and on or left or right sides, open the wings and select your profile, then scroll down and it will tell you your rank, also if you click on select user and look up you see your own nametag and rank

@@LemonCupcakeVRInfinity Saying that the Legendary rank is deleted is poor wording. It's still attached to each account that got it, you can see it on the VRChat website if you check look at the behind stuff. You can also see it using some third party friends list viewers.
Saying that the people who got the legendary rank "deserved it" makes it sound as if though they did good stuff for the VRChat community as a whole, which is not the case at all. The Legendary user rank was/is(?) given out according to some unknown algorithm that checks a bunch of things; playtime, friends, and the likes. One thing of note I believe plays a large role in whether or not you get the rank is who you're friends with. I got at least 150 Legendary people on my friends list, and I know for a fact some of them did nothing productive for VRChat, but they know and interacted with other legendary users, and then I also know others who'd fit each and every criteria other than knowing the right people, due to this I believe it has to do with who you know.
On the topic of the VRChat Team. I got 4 of them on my friends list, but I got more than 4 VRChat employees on my friends list. What do the 4 who have the rank have in common? They're not developers, they do everything else: public relations, economics, community management and such. It could also be that the ones that don't have the rank just chose not to have it, I know that would most definitely be the case with one of them.
I found it kinda funny with the whole talk about how the Veterans were bad when they were first introduced. I at the time didn't have the rank, but a friend of mine who's new account was way younger and less time on and so on did have it, which I found weird, and we made fun of it for a bit. Move forward a year or two and I find myself in the Black Cat and some people by the mirror are talking about legendary users, and they then mention me, which was how I learnt I had it and that it was a thing. I just knew the Veteran rank was still a thing up until then.
Anyway, the video is a bit long, praises Legendary users way too much, but otherwise decent. 6/10. Good luck in your future content creating endeavors.

Vrc+ will 100% boost a user to known user! But from known to trusted is 50/50

This is a pretty great explanation but I would like to add that the time spent in vrchat does not always level accounts up. I got known user after only about 194 hours. The reason why is because uploading avatars and worlds contributes greatly to the level. I've also been told that the trust level of your friends increases your level too. If your friends with a legendary user it will grant a lot more XP than being friends with a visitor. Although the amount given is still small in the grand scheme of things it does make a difference.

After over 4.500 Hours and having Legendary rank (can still see it on the Browser console on the Website), all i can say is.. even in VRChat, you never stop learning about any things, no matter if old or new stuff. But the worst part about VRChat are the Crashers... the most Hardcore ones even making the PC Bluescreen. But even with all the bad things, i still shared a lot of time with people that started out as New User when i met them, and are now very good friends and in Thrusted Rank.

How to rank up quickly:
Spend time in public lobbies (xp only rewarded when headset is ON, not desktop mode or AFK)
Upload quality worlds - download free asset packs and build your own worlds (super fun)
Upload avatars - since these are private you can shitpost them if you're desperate.
Add friends - start getting people with higher ranks like trusted and known to like you, then friend them. (biggest xp boosts at 80 then 100 friends)

As For my alt. Which I made for Uploading a separate set of avatars I don't want to be associated with my Main. I got it to skip New User all together and jump straight to User. It just AFK'd by a Mirror while I was away from home for Christmas and I gifted it VRC+ cause Wynaut.

yeah, i would say time is minimal in terms of ranking. I'm somewhere in the 500 hour department and still have a user rank, which is fair since i have not really uploaded anything onto vrc. hopefully that changes soon.

I joined VRC at the end of November in 2021, when I got my Index, I was a "new user" for like 4 weeks, then I made a relatively simple but neat world after learning a bunch about it (brain is still smoldering), got myself VRC+ because I like to support the devs and got catapulted from "new user" directly to "known user", pratically skipping the average-joe "user" thingy.
It almost felt a little awkward and unfair, especially if people have been in VRC for ages now and still didn't get much of promotion.
I'm currently at 135h actively playing VRC.

Do private worlds and avatars count to the contributions, or do they need to be made public?
You get more ‘points’ if you upload public avatar or worlds because if you upload public stuff, other players can ‘clone avatar’ and ‘join’ world -> give you popularity vs private where it’s ’just you’

You can get out of it again, but the hours you have to invest without acting like an ass are quite high🤣
it is then easier to create a new account🤣
I went to one of the usual worlds where new games can be found, this French DJ Art World (I don't remember the name of this one) and met a trusted user who was bullying visitors and new users.
Then I reported it and it made him so mad that he shouted like a COD kid.
I then simply blocked him as I was still a visitor at the time, which probably hurt his ego even more🤣

A friend had told me that i had the Legendary User Rank. I was honestly suprised and forgot to look up a explanation on how i may have obtained it but now it came back to mind after talking to said friend so i found your video. Nice explanation about the Ranks! Even though Trusted is now the highest again, am still happy to know that i had the Legendary Rank.

VRChat is weird with there ranking system, maybe some people blocked you guys or muted you. Keep playing is my advice :)

Some people block just because your rank is to low, toxic players can stall your rank up, they stop ones you are user
@@FunkyFox75 another thing that helps is that buying vrc plus for a month will boost your ranking to the next rank in about a day or two at user and below. My friend was a user for the longest amount of time, bought vrc plus and got known user as soon as he restarted his game to apply his vrc plus photo. Same thing happened to me, I bought it at user and got to known user in 3-5 days later after hitting user.
I'm not a person that cares much for ranks in any game (explains why I'm still a User in VRC) But I heard my friend talking about it and that's what led me to this video.

it's not really a 'rule' it's more a average score i made after asking more then 1000 known users at how they got the rank, with VRC+ you can skip this whole video rank up xD
make avatars = need less hours, make worlds = need less hours, is your account 'old' = need less hours, got more friends = need less hours ^^
