    That whole area looks absolutely beautiful especially during cherry blossom season. Everything looked very peaceful there even with the crowds at some of the lakes.

    You’re so lucky you picked the best day with a perfect weather. When I went to Fuji Yoshida the Mt Fuji was hidden behind the clouds and we couldn’t see it🥲
    I love your channel btw, cheers from Japan 😊

    This is great. I lived in Tokyo and my kids love Royal Host Your dish is what i always "pronounced Hambagu" get and my kids just love the toys. However, we never went to Mt. Fuji. Headed there in October so will try to visit if weather permits.

    So it all started because I wanted to generally check what was going on with the SDComicCon 2023...And now I've seen several of your videos. I gets that's how you get hooked on to any addiction...🤣Btw, that trip to Japan seems amazing, which is no surprise, Japan is obviously a stunning country.

    A goldmine of info, thanks. I'm planning a trip for cherry blossom season in '24. Once I get fly in, first stop is this very area (using the Mt Fuji Excursion shinkansen). I'm conflicted about hiring a car VS. relying on public transport or the Kawaguchiko sightseeing bus loop. However, my instinct for getting to and around here is a car. There doesn't seem to be an abundance of public transport. After this I travel to Kyoto (which seems a bit tedious to get to from Mt Fuji), so I'm wondering if I should just hire a car once I fly in to make getting to Mt Fuji and Kyoto more doable. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

      We rented a car from the airport in Tokyo to do this trip. The public transit is really not great here. So that's what I'd recommend. Rent the car. Use it to get here and from here to Kyoto

    Wonderful video Chris! Will you be doing a full on review of Marriott Yamanaka? I heard there are very few rooms with Fuji views is that true? Looks like you had an amazing view from your room. Thanks! Looking forward to more Japan content!

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  Рік тому +1

      Hi Xvader.. yes. Full review of the Marriott coming up. I think most of the rooms on the Fuji side would have some sort of Fuji View. Obviously the top floor (4) on the Fuji side is the best. But then yes. Half of the rooms are on the "wrong" side of the hotel to see Mt Fuji

    Is it safe to rent a car and drive from Tokyo to Mt Fuji in December/Winter?

  • @Evin0688
    @Evin0688 6 місяців тому

    Is this a difficult drive to make after getting off of your incoming flight? I’m trying to figure out my itinerary when I go. I’m wondering if I should spend a night in Tokyo to recover from jet lag, or go straight to Fuji 5 lakes.

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  6 місяців тому

      Probably depends upon alot of things like whether you're flying in to Narita or Haneda and what time you arrive. We flew in to Haneda and spent our first night in Atami.. if you're flying in to Narita I'd suggest overnight in Tokyo

  • @deano2440

    Hi Chris, enjoyed the video, thanks! Quick question, I’m heading to Japan early December and will venture to Fuji then Kyoto as you did, but did you need winter tyres as part of your rental? And which rental company do you recommend? (I’m assuming from your other videos, you are using your credit card tricks ;))

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  Рік тому +1

      Hi Deano -- We were there in April for this trip... so no winter tires then. You may need them in December. We always rent from Toyota Rental Car -- and yes, you can request winter tires on your car from them. We had to do that a few years ago when we visit Kyushu in winter

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  Рік тому

      Yeah. There is a learning curve. But I've done it quite a bit now so I don't have it that hard. I'd say you'll adapt after a couple daya

    Hi Chris. Wonderful day trip around the area. Amazing that you all covered a lot in just a day. It was fabulous to see Mt Fuji at Lake Kawagoe on a vert beautiful day. Never gets tired of see it. The crosswalk where it can take a picture of Mt Fuji is unique way to enjoy its beauty. Thanks for sharing and take care.
