Doctors and Bonanzas…😢
Such a sad situation. Seems like this is happening more and more.
The amount of private airplane crashes seem to be daily now or maybe I’m just becoming aware of it.
The doctor's daughter waiting in Kentucky was spared her life.
What was the weather?
Keeping the legacy alive, one doctor at a time.
Doctors and surgeons crashing in their bonanzas at an alarming rate. Something is not right here, Just one simple mistake can get you, friends or entire family killed if you are not familiar with the machine you are flying, can follow weather reports and deviate along the route, know when to abort when things go bad. Screw missing the wedding or whatever important event. Guy in California the other day killed his wife and two children. knew the weather was getting bad, not qualified for IFR, he knew he was in big trouble and refused to ask the controller for help. He now gets into IFR condition and the controller thinking he was IFR certified gave him an IFR clearance. What did he do? He took and read back the clearance, a few minutes later the family was dead, they were going to a special event. He could have gone hands off and let the computer fly the airplane nicely, HE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO USE THE AUTOPILOT.
Been happening since the Bonanza first came out many years ago. It's what happens when you have more money than your experience can support. It hasn't been called the "forked tail doctor killer" for nothing.
The “other day” in California happened nearly 10 years ago. It’s clear that you don’t understand beyond the word itself how autopilot in aircraft works. Autopilot isn’t a get out of jail free card. That attitude is just as dangerous. Imagine for a second that you are in a very stressful position such as an aircraft emergency and tell me you would do everything perfectly? We train for emergencies for this reason. Go fly your autopilot in turbulence or through icing conditions. Go have a vac system failure in actual imc with your autopilot engaged. The only thing I agree with you is to know your planes limitations. Train train train.
The "doctor killer" ...not my term for it.
Doctor Bonanza crasher.

ua-cam.com/video/7sfHlzv6Rlk/v-deo.html How many times do we have to go thru this?? Owning a toy does not qualify you to use it!
Was he instrument rated?
Turbulence present?
Unlikely. Most probable cause is spacial disorientation in IMC conditions.
@@KennethAGrimm Spatial disorientation will not make the aircraft break up in flight, which is part of the preliminary findings.
@@arthouston7361Sure it will. When you end up in a spiral dive and then try to pull out of it. He ripped the wings and tail off.
@@johnaclark1 Now you're talking about two different things. You would have to respond to spatial disorientation incorrectly in order to damage the aircraft, but spatial disorientation does not cause the wings to come off. Overcontrolling the aircraft does do that.
@@arthouston7361You're splitting hairs now. Loss of control, caused by spatial disorientarion leading to an in-flight break up due to inadvertant flight into IMC. It's been happening to doctors since the beginning of Bonanazas.
