12:08. You are my kind of coaster enthusiast. The kind who appreciates the slow relaxing rides (I.e. train) in the amusement parks (if they have them (still)).
You read my mind lol,😂 With school and work that eats up most of my time to make videos. But when school ends I should have more time for a few months to go places and make more vids.
last time I was at cedar point the sun went behind the moon and it was terrifying. I thought the wrath of the greek sun god was upon us. but then I realized the greek sun god doesn't exist anymore and they stopped naming people after him around 320 bc, so there is a 0 percent chance of him being the one who put the moon in front of the sun. I'm glad they stopped naming people that over 2000 years ago.
Here is what pops up when you search for the term General Public. noun. all or most people, especially those not part of a specified group; ordinary people as opposed to officials, experts, politicians, etc.: most people, especially those not part of a specified group next time let's read up on what we're talking about before we get pissy at people for no reason 😍
@@coasterseveryday It's not a noun in the context implied by enthusiasts. People posting videos on UA-cam aren't experts in the field. They're just fans. And that's okay. As an actual working professional in the field with over 24 years of experience under my belt, I've read enough to know what I'm talking about. Sorry to lecture, just pointing out the fallacy of referring to people as "GP." As I've told people in other realms "Remember, if you think you're better than someone else waiting in line for a ride... that just makes you a bigger nerd, you're no more special because you know the name of who invented or built a thing." Just food for thought. EDIT: This is far from a personal dig, this is very much a blanket statement regarding people I see posting it all over the place. My core issue with the term is the fact that it only serves to create a sense of "others" rather than inclusion. No sense in giving people a title that comes off demeaning. Even if not intended as such, it really comes off as elitist when it doesn't need to be.
@@jamesolivier1820 I mean I never said I was better than anyone or more special than anyone else. People use the term "General Public" in all places, and still, the general public is not the people who are nerds of theme parks. I would be considered GP when it comes to trains, airlines, or other nerdy things like that. But that's just the word people in their industry use to call other people who are not familiar with that specific industry. the word "general" means most people, places, or things. And since 99% of the people going to these amusement/theme parks are not nerds or enthusiasts, I would say it is fine to call people who are not in your niche "General Public" I get what you mean though. Most of the time a lot of people just because they know more think that they are just better. That's not what I'm going for, I know that I am no better than anyone else and no one is any better than me. If there is any moment in this video it seems like I was being better than other people I promise that it wasn't for real. It would have been just to play off the stereotype of the coaster enthusiasts. I apologize for what I said earlier about the pissy thing, I get heated up sometimes, I know that you know a lot more than me as I am not even out of high school yet and you have tons of experience in what you do.
@@coasterseveryday Sincerely, keep up the good work. Your videos are fun. Didn't mean to browbeat too much. Just consider words and the way they can be perceived.

Thanks lol, Roller Coasters are only one part of what makes a park good. All parks are better with more then coasters.
@@coasterseveryday Coasters are the cake, but everything else (especially the train) is the icing.

Sounds super fun I’m learning how to make the Star Wars opening credits for a segment I’m working on for my radio and tv class ❤

@@coasterseveryday NO PROBLEM ❤️
gp friend mogged you
What is a GP friend?
GP means General Public. Coaster enthusiasts call people who aren't in the loop with the theme park industry GP.
hey mate ive watched you for like a couple months, and ye i like your videos
also was 10:58 a joke or...
Thanks for watching! yes its a joke lol. I thought of a random name on the spot because I thought it was funny lol.
I might be in this video or something like that
That would be amazing and epic
Can enthusiasts please stop using the term "GP"... you ARE "GP." Stop trying to act like you're special because you go more than others.
