I wish Kerri / Zana would have teamed in FIVB as well as AVP. I guess Kerri is retiring due to recurring shoulder problems and is concentrating on P1440
We here in Phoenix were hoping for a repeat of last year's championship at the Footprint Arena. We packed the arena, created an unforgettable (the players' words, not mine) atmosphere and celebrated the sport we all love. And this year? Nada. Such a missed opportunity to grow the brand through an amazing event in a market (Phoenix) with literally thousands of players of all levels who would support the event again.
When Maddison was 12 years old (20 years ago which was 2003), Phil was 23 and Alison 17. Phil debuted in 2003 but didn't start winning till 2005. Alison didn't turn pro till 2006 and started winning in 2008.
When I saw Klothe and Cheng on the thumbnail I was expecting them to be included somewhere in the recap. A little disappointing that they weren't, but otherwise enjoyed the content.
hoping avp lasts but Kent Steffes thinks it will not cause the buisness is not run well.. also would love to watch avp on streaming but you choose not to show it so no money there and well the more it is not on streaming the more i will not care about it and i have heard the same from others and i see it going more that way ......
This series is the one thing the AVP did right this year
I really hope Muno finds a secure partner! She deserves it!

Jake Gibb and Taylor Crabb were the #1 seed at the 2019 Austin Open, lost first round (Lotty-Ospina, #neverforget) and came back to win 😉
Encyclopedia Trav 😂

What didn't happen? AVP champs. The association needs to do better by its players.
Zana and Alix!
I hope Kraft/Cannon plays the avp. They looked great internationally.
Great recap!
These things are the best
It did disappoint. Cancelled Championships and terrible streaming options. The last few years were much better.

Kleinman/Muno 2024?
2024 preview: everybody, everywhere will be able to watch the AVP? 🤔
Will there even be a 2024 AVP?
no casey patterson retirement???
What about the championship? Why was that canceled?
They wanted it to be indoor again but couldn't find a venue on the dates they wanted, plus probably money

Yep :(
Nice!
