what an unbelievable feeling doing this piece with our choir. As amateurs we have quite rare chances to make a concerto with brass players, but this year we celebrate our 10 years jubilee, so we just decided to hire some to do this. Absolutely breathtaking and magnificent, I cry every time I listen to this, but singing it live is more overwhelming :D fantastic, thank you mr. Rutter! :)
I thank my college choir director often for introducing me in the mid-'80s to the marvelous, fabulous work of John Rutter. I'm a soprano. I never tire of hearing it or of remembering what an absolute joy it was to sing. And the brass! So beautifully done! Thank you, sir, for this glorious Gloria as well as the seemingly hundreds of other pieces you've given us that I've sung, played, heard, or shared these many years. You and your Cambridge Singers are fantastic.
