McLaren didn't invite him. The FIA chose McLaren as the team to be visited because their garage location was optimal due to safety reasons for the orange.
McLaren said so in a press statement.

@@DuckReach432 That was in 2006, while the GP was held until 2011 by the contract that they signed. It was about money. They didn't like how the ticket proces were so cheap and couldn't generate enough money from it while it also is in the middle of nowhere.
BS btw, because it's a great track and affordable tickets are a good thing. But F1 is not about fans, it's about money.
As a McLaren supporter, I was disappointed to see this, but I also recognise that this decision was bigger than the team and falls more on the shoulders of Liberty and the FIA. At the end of the day, he has every right to visit any GP he wants, so even if you don't like him, you do at least have to respect that fact.
You wanna talk about rights and respect, you best find a better example. I acknowledge his right, but nothing compels me to respect a man who attempted a coup to retain power, and is facing 4 felony trials (and counting).
