They were in Toronto with Thrice - Nov 2017, and it was awesome. However, they didnt play The Amulet. They started the Set with Child Of The Desert, and ended with an incredible delivery of Get Out. Hell of a concert .Also got a chance to see Balance and Composure - probably for the last time, that very night....
AG's intro was incredible. He sang it completely different and changed some lyrics... almost like... don't sing the words I wrote to me the way you understand them, let me sing them to you the way I meant them. It's beautiful.
Saw them 5 days later in Denver and they didnt have that cool screen behind them.. they had like 8 small screens instead. Wonder why the different back drop?
It's usually venue dependent..as far as i know. Like most venues already have the equipment available and then its up to the band to designate how they plan on doing the lighting and mixing...but they're such a big band its hard to say whether or not they always accommodate for that. I probably didn't answer your question at all lmfao sorry.
Heres an example of what I mean. This is Circa Survive and Thrice at the same venue. Look at the vertical light bars in the back. They're both using the same equipment.
