Hey Gareth, we lost our Mum a year ago & every time I see stew on vlogs I always smile and remember her. She was the queen of stews & wholesome warming winter soups, her suet dumplings were to die for. 😊❤ A
In 1959 when my mum was revising her A levels in Preston, and thereafter her BA at Manchester Uni, she would do cramming all-nighters helped along by a glass or two of Guiness - and yes, she did rather well! 💖
Deano get yourself over to Belfast, go to Maggie Mays and see what a real fry up is like, just order a full fry for the Northern Irish version of a fry up or an Irish breakfast if you want black and white pudding plus vegetable roll (though you don't get the famous Ulster fried breads on the Irish), you won't be disappointed ! That spice bag looks great !
Well that Irish stew yum 😋 that spice bag looked good to and st patricks day stay home im a yorkshire lass originally i miss home be fab to see more of Yorkshire
Hi from Kerry Ireland ☘️🇮🇪 the peppers are meant to be cooked and coated in spice and I've never seen onions in a spice bag here especially raw onions 😊
Hi Deano, great vid, I was bleedin starving after watching this, lol, but anyway, over here in Dublin we love our spuds boiled with our stew, also check out our Dublin coddle, ask the chef in that pub about it. Cheers. JP.
I have to say the portions on that stew are generous and it looks very satisfying. I'd say the Guinness paired perfectly with it. That spice bag looked to be on point as well.
9 January Hi Deano! It's very hot 🔥 🥵 in Australia 🇦🇺 have had major heat waves Deano hate our Summers was 37 degrees the other day! Get gloves for Easter 🐣 Deano! 😅 Love ❤ the music! Great decor inside...do you want to swap Countries? Lol 😅😅 Absolutely 💯 love Bailey's! ❤ Nice place to take Mrs Deano! 👌 🎉
@JustDeano don't think you would like the intense heat! It can even get hotter here in some places in Australia the temperatures get up to 50 degrees can even Fry and egg 🥚 on the pavement!
you can’t beat a hot Irish stew ona cold day with brown bread and Kerrygold butter onit and wash down with creamy Guinness…ozzys are nice people ❤ from 🇮🇪
Hi Deano did you mention in one of your vlogs about the macmaster? Im asking just out of curiosity. ? Oohhhh Irish coffee mmmm lush. Food looked good. Not sure they should be advertising mcd's curry sauce. Yeah spice bag looked good. Irish stew as far as im aware is meant to be Lamb!!!!! Why not go over to Ireland for St Patricks day Deano.
Paddy’s day in Dublin deano but not temple bar George’s street Wexford street and Camden street all beside each other.great pubs and a lot cheaper than temple bar 🍻🍻🍻
Stew looked great. Healthy portion and I presume piping hot when served. You need to eat it with a spoon and fork to scoop up the amazing gravy. As someone else commented their was a screen shot in your B-roll saying 50% off your food bill during January. Makes it well worth a visit AGAIN in January. You could sample the £29.95 special. Just how many pints of Guinness could you sup in 90 minutes Deano? 5 maybe 6.
the spice bag really only worth £2.75 since really most chips with very small slithered of chicken i would with out having it in front of me work out if really wort over £5. the stew looks a more filling meal, but really it has to be for £10.95. for something you can make at home for 4 for maybe £6.
Nothing on that menu was Irish including the stew, Irish Stew has the potatoes cooked through the stew and a lot thicker and Ive never seen peas in any Irish Stew lol Traditional Irish Stew is made with Mutton but many people use beef thesedays, also spuds carrots and stock, thats it traditionally although most people add onions and sometimes parsnips......disclaimer, this is how we do it in Northern Ireland lol
Please could you pray for my son I woke up this morning to a message he lost everything his home etc in the Los Angeles fires❤😢 and take care of your beautiful family ❤🎉
Remember this : Lord Jesus will stand by your son . It's a promise no man can keep, but only Lord Jesus can. Take care my friend 🙏 and the Lord has a plan and a hope for your son.
Instead of struggling with a fork to eat your stew, why not ask for a spoon, so much easier? But to be honest, the price was a bit high for what you got, and the spice bag was a little on the high side.
You can't beat Irish stew on a cold day. Cork , Clonakilty black and white pudding, rashers, sausages yummy yummy yummy. The food looked great, I'd love to be eating the stew. Black Bush is nice .
The chicken and chips looked really nice but I would definitely prefer the peppers roasted. Such a good price too even at full price. I checked a couple of Wetherspoons in Sheffield and I can only find six things on sale via the app. They do have offers on the hotels though 😊
@ the Whitby hotel looks lovely but I couldn’t get in when I needed an overnight. However we stayed in a family room at thirsk £70( obviously not in sale) and it was decent enough. Breakfast wasn’t included. Would definitely love see you try one, I think I booked through the app or website 😊

Hi Deano, what are the buildings that look like motel rooms all around Peace Hall? The fries in the spice bag sounded really crisp & the stew looked lovely. Looking forward to the Ireland trip 😃👍
Where Halifax. I thought you were in Russia 😮 no white pudding, probably because of brexit. Seriously, you don't put curry sauce on a spice bag. But mc donnells curry sauce is the best. Every mother in Ireland had their own way of making their stew.
Depending on where you go, parts of Dublin are a rip off, over €10 for a pint of Guinness in Temple Bar for example. But most of the country is far from those rip off prices, €5.20 for a pint where I am...

Tennesse? 🤣JD is not Irish it is American! An Irish Coffee should contain an Irish Whiskey, my "go to" being Jameson. The bread is not easy to decipher through the video, but if it crumbles it is very likely Soda Bread, so at least they got that right. The Stew itself also looked OK. I am on the fence with Spice Bags, They are very popular in Dublin but nobody could call them traditional Irish when they are obviously of East Asian descent.

Only an Irish mother and a chain of Irish bars can create traditional Irish food 🤷

@JustDeano that's a magnificent tagline, Deano. You should be in marketing lol! 😹
McDonnells curry sauce available from sainsburys or asdas. It’s in the foreign aisle.
Both dishes looked lovely.
Excellent. I shall buy some next time I'm in there
I love when Irish eyes are smiling ❤
We Irish love our curry sauce..☘
Hi Deano definately go to Dublin for St. Patricks Day...would be wonderful to see 👀 Hugs Helen in Austtralia ❤🎉
In my 44 years of being Irish, not once have I ever had or seen peas in an Irish stew.
Great review though!

That irish stew looks amazing, I pretended not to hear beef though 😀, Dublin is my choice for your trip

McDonnells Curry Sauce. Not McDonald's. 😁 I don't know if I mentioned Lee. Why?
On a traditional Irish spice bag the veg is sauteed.
That food looks amazing. X

I once spoke to a taxi driver in Dublin and he said go to Benidorm (all the Irish do apparently) haha
the reason the full irish breakfast has changed is because of custom charges , thank brexit
Yeah I figured as much. Shame really
I’m from Northern Ireland and have never seen mashed potato on Irish stew!
That may be the Yorkshire input haha

Hi Deano, there is a tv inside saying it’s 50% off food for the whole of January ☺️ it shows it around 6:47 in the video
@ unsure haha - just noticed it saying it on the tv
I should of paid £5.50 for the stew....I can change the title to "I WAS ROBBED" haha
Raw onions and peppers? Never seen the appeal of these spice bags
Think that was a mistake tbh

Me too although some others have stated it can be Beef. Either way this stew was delightful 😁
Nice Vidio deano proper grub 👍

Right smile on your face when they said the spice bag is half price! 😂

Nothing is wrong. You do you Dave .
