Just recently got this for Mame. Fun little obscure arcade gem. Play like a better made Ikari Warriors 2 to me, being a top down shooter that combines the fantasy and sci-fi genres. Agatha's probably my favorite character of the playable crew.
Characters chosen: Player 1: Vistario the Lizard Alien Pirate, Player 2: Howard Young, almost a War Hero, but the USA lost the war, so he is now a Class A war criminal, Player 3: Hayate Zigragi, a top ninja, caught when he almost assassinated the Galactic Federation President Stages and Bosses Stage 1: Arrival on Planet Fortuna 0:17 Boss 1: War Mechs 1:56 Stage 2: Temple 2:18 Boss 2: Supercomputer 3:59 Stage 3: Canyon Bridge 4:19 Boss 3: Armored Hovercarrier 7:04 Stage 4: Metal Maze 7:22 One player introduces GX-026: A 6-year model android made by Hinomoto who single-handedly obliterated 26 planets across the galaxy in one year, at 8:29. Boss 4: Battleship Core 9:46 Stage 5: Forest 10:03 Boss 5: Multi-Tread Tank Fortress 12:26 Stage 6: Desert Labyrinth 12:47 One player introduces Lucy Pamela: Former Princess of the Kingdom of East England, she was convicted of assassinating the King and plotting to overthrow the current government, at 13:59. Boss 6: Mobile Desert Fortress 14:44 Stage 7 (Final Stage): Enemy Headquarters 16:10 One player introduces Remlias L'Angelo, a mineral-like being from Christo star who was captured after leading a rebellion against Galactic Federation troops who were ordered to harvest his home planet's pure crystals, at 17:38. Final Boss: Enemy Commander Death Skull 22:06 Ending, Credits and start of 2nd Loop: 22:15
It was one of the first times I connected to someone with Parsec, and my experience with it has varied, although I think it was relatively ok here. I still generally prefer even Kaillera to Parsec, though.
Maybe in about a month. I checked and the version of MAME I use for netplay is too old to play Batsugun properly. I'll have to use a newer version of MAME and play locally sometime later.

Its like their other title, Out Zone. Both titles have great detailed artwork.

It took me a little longer, but I played Batsugun.

this is good but compared to Outzone, the colours look like they've gone through the wash too many times
the color of metal suits the theme of this game perfectly
