- This was a special monster/quest since it brings back memories and its one of the rarest Asian exclusive CB Speedrunning quest and great to be the only Westerner to not only attempt but get a result.

one day i was searching for cb guide for mh4u, after watching ur guide on guard pointing cb, it makes me want to try cb in imhw. the fastest cb i can get without farming is the dodo with blast. i tried gp on practice then rushed to yian garuga arena. well it took me 20minutes to kill. seeing this video makes me feel very noob but atleast it gives me motivation to push cb further on. mind you, im main lbg.
Glad you found the channel and even more so to hear you picking up the CB! Don’t use this speedrun or any of mine as a benchmark, but more as a guide because different monsters has different tricks in the fight to make it smoother and this one is about that tail flip where you counter it with a Sword-to-axe hit 😉 Thx for the support!!

as ur description said, just to be clear some speed runners that use mods they only use "visual" mods only like costume or changing the looks of the weapon, no damage change just visual the damage done dealt still considered vanilla, so if u calling somewhat "I'm better because not using mod at all" reconsider about that statement again, why do I type too much in here? cuz as a veteran myself and following the MH community from the past 13 years somewhat today they're becoming more... I dunno what I wanna call em for trying to not offend them? just stupid I guess? by stating "even using visual mods is cheating too", still it's a good run, but this is the 1st time I saw someone in MH speed run saying "world record" even canta or akantorex pretty much never state that (CMIW), so don't make things looks funny
Edit : I'm no hater, just trying to make things clear (Cuz even it's called speed run, those speed runners never see what they're doing as a competition to one another)
No I sincerely respect your valued input/advice and I had no intention of putting down PC runs. It's just I heard PC runs may use mods such as guaranteed food skills, lowest HP monster and smallest monster size, which does greatly impact the time you're able to achieve and these mods are allowed to be used when submitting a run. I just personally feel this isn't a fair comparison against console speedruns but thats probably why there is a console only speedrun leaderboards. Please understand, I'm very new to the speedrunning scene and to this game/series tbh, having only played this for maybe 5 months in total and don't REALLY know anyone in the speedrunning community since it feels so tight knit and very hard for any new runner to get into, or that's my personal experience and never had anyone tell me whats the right thing to do, say or what not. When I ask for advice, you get very short answers since you're absolutely nobody for someone to really give you their time and resource. You're honestly the first person lol, as a veteran who has given me solid advice in terms of what I'm saying may be considered offensive to the speedrunning community! I didn't know "world record" was offensive and I have asked in the discords once with some prominent names answering me and all they said was they don't say that because once a certain runner said it and 5min later someone posted a run that beat him and it was just egg-on-face for that runner. When I heard that, I felt "Ok, if it's just egg-on-face I'm fine with that, since all I want to really do is grow my channel" but if this is actually offensive to the community, then damn I'll stop that immediately. I don't understand what's so hard for people to be direct to one another and just say, "dude, your doing something wrong here and it's generally not acceptable..." I come from being a sponsored FPS e-sports gamer and if you ever achieved anything, you just promote it as it is, why the hell would anyone get offended... I guess that mentality isn't accepted and again I didn't know that. With regards to your Edit comment, I came into it acting like that with my first speedrun from my long break (Tigrex) but then quickly realised that is not the attitude most runners have so I decided to focus on making content that would grow my channel instead of being top of leaderboards, which I haven't cared since Tigrex. After Tigrex my plan was to look where I can get "World Records" and then promote that vid to grow my channel, IT WAS NEVER intended to offend anyone in the community, why the hell would anyone intentionally be that much of a DICK, LMAO!! Btw the big names you have mentioned doesn't need to say anything of the sort since back in the day they have done all the grinding to deserve the right to post whatever they want and get lots of recognition/attention, new channels like mine have to think outside the box since we are literally, nobody ;-) To conclude, I will definitely take your advice and review my past descriptions and be mindful of how i promote myself, but my downfall in doing this, is that I will grow substantially slower... My goal is not to suck peoples asses I have never done that and HATE when ppl do that, my goal is to grow my channel and have people like and respect me for who I am, what you see is what you get ;-)
@@SH3RMSY yes, theres mods that like changing food skills, monster size, or even sharpness, tho those known speed runners knew the differences between visuals mod n game changing mod that considered cheating, unless if there's yes some a-hole that doing a speed run with those kind of game changing mod, yea good to know about ur background tho so actually clesr things up, so hey welcome to monster hunter community, sorry for the trouble, happy hunting :)

I also didn't know PC runners were actually not allowed to post runs with "game changing mods" I honestly thought that was the norm... Well that has hugely cleared things up for me and of course there will be a-holes that slipped through the net and will post something like that, but hey it is what it is. What skill makes u lose health?
It's the safi armour I'm wearing, there is a set bonus for either 3 piece or 5 piece Safi which makes you drain your health with each attack however consecutive attacks will regenerate your health more than what you lost by a little. The benefit is that your elemental damage is increased and you gain 20% affinity for 3 piece Safi and 40% for 5 Piece safi and even greater elemental dmg wih 5 piece. I have it set to the furthest view setting so I can see as much of the screen and silhouettes on highest ✌️

Makes sure your facing the monster when blocking, also every time you hold your shield out, you stop your stamina from being able to regenerate, so when you sense a need to block, don’t just hold your shield out, wait until closer the time you think you need to block. The more you increase your guard skill, the less dmg and stamina you will lose 👍
