Just had this procedure done in the UK . I had terrible prostitius symptoms and bph. Going to the toilet was no fun 5 times some nights and getting water infections mainly the prostrate. I'm 69 and this is 3 days after surgery and I'm very pleased with the operation. I'm up and about walking catherer was out the second day . My stream is like a mini jet flowing fast . Only thing I'm finding is slightly urgency and loosing a little before. But this is expected..any one wants any clarity on the op I'm happy to answer.. Ps my sexual functions seem definitely working , this was a Holep operation .
Thanks for your feedback. I'm facing a holep and am concerned about incontinence and loss of sexual function. I would value your comments on these potential problems now that you are 10 months post-holep. Any issues with incontinence/urgency? Is sex different after a holep? Does an orgasm feel the same? I believe that men will have retrograde ejaculation after a holep. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.
@@mspalmboy okay I will tell you as it is no bullshitt. I have no issues with incontinence whatsoever /or urgency. I pee like a young man with power when it comes out.. There is no loss of sexual functions because holep does not damage vital nerves like a Turp procedure could. I was told by the specialist before when offered a Turp procedure there was risks to impotence so I turned it down.. Eventually I was offered the Holep. Now I can honestly say that sex is no problem. Orgasm is the same, But semen is only pre cum no big Ejeculations of semen.. It's a small price to pay instead of having constant agony of wanting to go to the toilet and been in agony trying to relieve yourself.. I've had plenty of sex since with many girls .
I had radiation treatment for prostate cancer. It appears the cancer is gone and my bladder is healed from the radiation treatment. During the healing from 12/15/23 to now (about 5 months) and hospitalized for severe bladder spasms, UTI and bacterial infection. I have had several UTI's, severe bladder spasms. I have an enlarged prostate blocking the urethera. I have had some form of Foley catheter, spanner stent, suprapubic catheter in and out since 12/23. Doctor may I ask a question. Is HOLEP a procedure for me knowing the side effects could be greater due to having the radiation treatments? Thank you if you can answer my question.
I had the Holep procedure in South africa 🇿🇦......but my ED has worsened not sure why have investigated and done all tests incl.CT angiogram all tests clear have history of High BP and cholesterol....Urologist suggested penile injections
I going to get a holep procedure done in the next two weeks. I'm so happy my VA hospital in las vegas is equipped to this procedure.

What happens to the sperm ducts and the empty shell!, does it become part of the bladder and is done by ga or spinal and why?
