- hi guys! welcome back to my channel!! so today i am going to be showing you guys how to start & end your alpha keychains on a keychain! here are the specific keychains i used in my video: www.amazon.com...
FAQ:
•what kind of thread do you use, and where is it from?
-i use embroidery floss! it's the loops and threads brand from michales. you can also use craft cord or yarn.
•what's a wingspan?
-hold one end of your thread in your left hand, and stretch your left arm out. taking the thread in your right hand, bring i across your chest and stretch out your right arm. this is your wingspan! google has a good picture if you search it, or you could cut 65-70 inches.
•do you sell your bracelets?
-i do not! i've looked into as much as i could, but unfortunately you have to be 18 to sell on most sites. and even so, my mom is very against me getting into things like that, because the IRS will get involved (for taxes on income) and it's just a whole mess. maybe in a year or so!
•how long does it take to make this bracelet?
-for me, each bracelet i make takes me about two hours (however i've been doing it for 2+ years). depending on the pattern it might be less, or more. however, for a beginner it might take even longer, especially if you have to keep looking at a pattern.
•why does my bracelet have holes in it/how do i prevent it?
-you're bracelets aren't going to be perfect when you first start making them! the more you make them, the better you'll get and you'll pick up your own technique. also, the way some patterns are designed just make your bracelets turn out wonky regardless!
•do i have to add a button? / how do i make this specific bracelet adjustable?
-you can start/end your bracelet however you want! there is no set rule, or anything. just cut the strings like you normally would for your bracelet, and start it! it's all about personal preference.

this tutorial is super helpful and i love it! just make sure if you're using this method on the keychain clip, your base strings would be recommended to be the same color as your background color... i don't know if this was self-explanatory but im also dumb😂

How do you know the length of the thread you're gonna be using before starting? I'm scared to waste mine and accidentally use a very long threads :(

hey all! im new to this whole alpha keyring pattern world and am in need of a bit of help please :) how do you bring in a new colour string when working with the keyring? when youre doing a bracelet it seems that bringing in a new colour is pretty simple as you end up weaving all the strings together at the end but how would you do it with the keyrings? would it be the same principle except the string then floats around at the back of the keyring design??
Do you think you can do a tutorial on the Dino and do a tutorial on how to switch the colours?

Awe these are so cute!🌸 I was wondering is there a way to make the alphas with regular round key rings? I know it would be more complicated as it’s curved and isn’t straight to start the bracelet but I would love to know if it’s possible♥️
Idk if there is a way to them like this one. I just make the stitched loop at the top of my alphas and then attach it to the keychain once it’s finished.

Does the length and width matter on a keychain. I know the width has to match the chain itself’s width, but does the length matter?

yes! i have a video on the different kinds of knots and how to start and end bracelets. i also have videos on how to read both alpha and normal patterns, as well as videos on triangle ends for normal patterns, and triangle ends for alphas! i have tons of different tutorials for starting and ending bracelets!
