- Poke ALL Toads, a puzzle game about poking all toads. This is a great game, there's funny levels, good mechanics, and the art fits so well with the vibe, I love the toad graphics.

The animations turn this from a 6/10 puzzle game to a 10/10 masterpiece
i love how the busy fairies still read while theyre being eaten. like damn girl NOTHING can stand between you and finishing that chapter huh
After 20:15 you can actually see her looking at the blue fairy instead.

I love how the first thought that came into your mind after seeing busy fairies and carrier fairies in the same level is to throw her into the void
I did some playing around: take 0:17 "...or nine" very literally. a grey toad will eat the fairy instantly if you poke it 10 times. Green toads will target and instantly grab at it after about 6 (though it's hard to get consistent counting while also dodging around the delayed grab), and since you're poking it and therefore right next to it you don't have time to react.
Curious to see if these will ever become puzzle mechanics, like a certain type of fairy that has to get eaten for the level to end so you have to have it go poke a grey toad repeatedly or something.
that "or nine" detail is great hahaha, I do wish the graphics showed the sleeping toad get angrier or less sleepy or something.
I would probably guess these are just flavor things though, cause why else would you poke that many times.

@@IcelyPuzzles I could have sworn they expressed some reaction at nine pokes but it seems to just be the idle animation being timed well.
sidenote: Busy Fairies will laugh at the blue fairy getting eaten if they are nearby. I just love these little interactions between characters, and hope future characters also have these little interactions with each other.
So far though only the blue fairies can poke toads, perhaps specific mechanics could be implemented allowing more fairies to poke, like maybe the strong fairy could poke but green and grey toads will instantly catch and eat the strong fairy if that happens, which wouldn't add cheese to any of the demo levels.
Then there could be a toad that doesn't react to being poked by blue fairies but acts similar to a green toad when poked by a strong one (eo basically a string toad), heck maybe even adding multiple blue fairies to a level and making it so at least 1 has to be alive could work around this multi-poke mechanic.
Now we just need them to say "sorry Mario but the princess is in another castle".

(latebecauseiwasnotnotifiedithink) i think it was, looking at some other playthroughs they got funneled into toggling the yellow early, which seems to be an intentional red herring
@@IcelyPuzzles At first I thought you could avoid sacrificing a fairy that one. then I realize the yellow switch will block you from walking off it meaning there is no way to turn it off.
That said I wonder if this game will have an achievement for beating levels with the minimum amount of fairies sacrificed. particularly in the bodyguard level the flag was fast which means it should actually be possible to beat with no sacrifice though hard.
My suspicion is that the flag was fast because there were no more agro frogs. The levels with slow flags seemed to be ones where frogs still wanted to eat you.
@@rocketlanterns Generally yes the fast flags were on levels you could deagro all the frogs that could target you. There was some levels though it would be possible to reach the fast flag without deaggroing them all.
This has what puzzle games are missing: charm! 😊

Btw some years ago i was playing a game called "Miriam's mice" that is a quite simple puzzle game but it went hard and i abandoned less than half way through the game and it looks long. can u try it plz?

@@IcelyPuzzles you should show it in another video tbh, maybe just also put a toad in the thumbnail of a video for another game indicating the quick civer of the funny secret before getting to another puzzle game or something

All of those are great ideas and I covered the multiple blue fairies in a reply to this comment which stated about the multi-poke (basically after being poked a 10th time sleepy toads will eat the blue fairy instantly and after a 6th poke green toads will immediately latch their tounge out).

I feel like the oldest one was the patrick's parabox fan levelpack 'Travel' where I put a cyan glow, but it totally blends in with the screenshot's existing aesthetic anyway

@@djangel3108 there’s some WEIRD vore f*tish vibes from the animation of the fairies being eaten. maybe the game was made entirely divorced from that idea but I HIGHLY doubt it just from the way the animation plays out
@@darksentinel082 there is litteraky nothing wrong with the animations, if it were a fly getting eaten instead would you care? Plus it's a cartoony style in a game that has mythical creatures (fairys) so why the heck should you care?
