I think if more parents taught their children about their heritage the world would be a better place especially in the ranching world, the younger generation don't want to work that hard, good for you guys for teaching your kids right.
500 years!! That is absolutely amazing!! Now that’s a Heritage farm.. I tell you what!? I have begun to understand Ole Ridgie boy 🤣😂 what an amazing life you and your beautiful wife are giving to your children ♥️🙏🏼♥️ stay Awesome ✌🏼😎
Not to many ranches have been in one family for that long! Hope they can go longer! Good that all the younger generation is learning how to do that kind of work!
Fantastic for the family to go from Nevada to Florida just to work their cattle using the whole family. Unreal. I live for the fine ranch family videos you guys produce. I could watch one everyday. Family on the same ranch for 500 years? That is unheard of...Congratulations and I hope it stays that way for another 500. My own family in Texas has been on the same ground for almost 200 so I can understand how proud you are of your ancestors accomplishments. Of course, it's your turn at the helm of stewardship and be able to pass that on will be your life's work. You know this of course. I think you guys are wonderful parents and to take on the load you have is simply amazing. You deserve God's blessing. Keep 'em coming!
That's Awesome. It's exactly why I moved my son ba k to Wyoming from Las Vegas. He needs to grow up the way I did and his older brother and sister. We now live back home outside of a little town of 3000.
This is what I remember when I was a child, when my dad did this and would take me along in the Hillsborough River swamp north of Thonotosassa FL for the Brandston ranch, when I was a young boy in the late 50"s. Long live the Florida crackers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brings back many memories, thanks for sharing this.
I always have my grandkids get a good grip of my belt to hold on. I admire you and your wife for the way you're raising your children. Your kids are all adorable and have impressive.
+This video touched my heart the most. Keeping a 500-year tradition for your children and traveling to Florida to do it is inspiring. All of the videos give me so much pleasure. I love to see Rhett running around with no pants or shoes on and dirty face/hands. We believe this is the way for children's immune systems to grow healthy. Ridgie is a pistol with red hair and love when he dresses up as a cowboy with his rope. Watching the older ones taking care of the little ones while doing their chores shows that they too will be GREAT PARENTS. Hope you have 1000's of acres, cause 9 children if each have 9 children then that will be 81 grandchildren. Yea, plenty of help around the ranch so you and Laura can retire.
So glad you got your camera back. I truly enjoyed watching y’all working with the herd and love the way the family pitched in and helped. God bless you and your families ♥️🙋🏻♀️🇺🇸
If you strung together all the words that Ridgeybug has said in his entire life - and he seems to talk nonstop - I reckon you could walk to the moon and back at least twice! He's a gem.
a man out working with his family....... brings real joy to my heart everytime and there are people who think they are ok and happy without a family. only GOD will help!!!
I don’t know about everyone else but your family is a joy to watch. Its 630am in the Delta of Mississippi, im on my way to plant cotton and I literally smiled when Reggie asked to ride
Just a wonderful tribute to the ancestors and all of you who honor them. These records of ranch life will live on for the next generations. Such touching words and traditions are respected by those of us who you allow to share the ride. Blessings and Much Love to ABR 💜💜💜
That was just beautiful watching your boys and horses working so well together! It was just as beautiful as watching a perfectly choreographed ballet. Just fantastic!
The good Lord blessed you and Laura with those 9 kids and your other family members and you both deserve all of them. Keep the family ranches going!! Dont change a thing!
Your videos usually cause my eyeballs to sweat. Hard work and a loving family, are hard to beat. Keep safe and well all. Edit: Each notification of your new video. Is an early day at work, to get home and watch. Please keep them coming.
I think it is so important to teach your kids about history and the value and importance of Hard Work and the family Heritage. It is always nice to have a few ranchers hanging on in the crazy world of development and everything has a price tag. Thanks Again for a great video! That is a nice looking herd...genetics?
Thanks Casey We have done peaches from Hurricane for years. Just got word there is no peaches or watermelon this year. They said 7000 houses going in the melon field😳
@@anchorbrandranch Yes Utah is losing AG big time right now. So sad to watch! Still going to be a few holdouts and a few places in the US to farm, but man it's getting to be a dying art! Keep up the awesome work!
This was what families should be doing working together, helping each other and teach you the kids about real life period thank you for sharing your life. Thanks for sharing your family awesome job. Thank you so much. If only more families could do this kind of thing, the world would be a better place.
It’s amazing what you guys are doing! I appreciate how you involve your kids in this journey!! For you to take Reggie out with you on horseback is super cool! It’s wasn’t easy for you to do that but he will remember that for many years to come! Your bring up these kids the right way! I’m such a fan!!
That is a great heritage to pass along to your children. Maybe it can go on 500 more years. But with all the evil in the world today, I pray that the lord will return sooner rather than later. God Bless
I must admit that your first words of this video really hit a note in my head and I have to go ahead and say it right before the whole video is even viewed through me and that is family ties and not or what make family whatever may happen with family and whatnot ups and downs election nights they're still there so you have to go ahead and take care of them when you can so my hat is off to you guys and I love you for that.
REAL Florida Crackers with the proper pedigree. Looks like you've even got some of those Florida Scrubs in with the Charolais. Good spring works. Thanks for sharing.
Who is Toby I must have missed it when you talked about him. It's funny the older kids barely talk but the littlest ones don't stop talking. It's great you all just let them talk on and don't ignore or say anything to them about being quiet, maybe that's why when they get older they are all talked out. The older kids are so good to include the Younger ones in everything they do you and your wife have brought up the kids right they are the best kids, cowboys, teenagers, ranch hands, babysitters, and little ones EVER !! My ❤️ goes out to you all ( I live in st petersburg/tampa area)
Finally catching up and feels like I'm right there with y'all, wearing my my new ABR Hand hat! Every time I see you guys work cattle it reminds me of how I used to spend my spring breaks as a kid in Arizona. No going to the beach for us... Thanks for sharing.
Reminds me of my Junior - Senior years summer helping on a small ranch between Arcadia and Zolfo Springs - I drove a tractor pulling a spray machine. We had two cowboys on horses, three pickup trucks and two tractors. Lots of mud and poo, had a stream flowing through the pens. We didn't have a chute for doing the bull calves, just wrestled them and held them down.
Family history and stories are always interesting to listen to. We traced our family history and lineage to the first ships that came to the new world.
Ther was a time that activity was on my bucket list to do but unfortunately for me time has passed me by and has rendered me unable to ride a horse anymore. Just you folks at Anchor Ranch I really enjoy watching you all ride herd on cattle both in Utah and Florida, so thenks to you all.
What an awesome family legacy and tradition! One that’s obviously not easy to keep going. So impressive that y’all are making the effort! We have a saying or motto in my family…”there ain’t nothin’ more important than kin!” Florida Crackers…the first cowboys💪🏼
Working the cows turned into a family affair. Sure nice that they turn out to help. Sure glad you found those lost films. Great content. Reggie Bug sure can talk
Glad you took Ridgie along with you Ramzi his commentary of the cattle and rive was great. I am glad that you are up holding the families heritage Were any of the horses you guys used Florida cracker horses . Once again great video Thanks
Glad to have 2 new videos in the same week!! I don’t see any difference in the ones that you e been editing & putting back on. Keep the new ones coming, Love the channel!!
Nice heritage. Good to maintain that. I lived just north of there about 100 miles near Savannah. Wish we had known each other then. But it’s all good. Better to be lucky thank good.
Hi to all. Watching you from Denmark in Western Australia. Love watching your Family on UA-cam. amazed at the ability and confidence with your boys around the ranch. Do they really enjoy working with you or just for UA-cam,?even the little red-headed one. Love watching all working with the animals. Stay safe Kevin Nayda
I'm sure glad that uour Go Pro turned up. These Florida videos are interesting and quite beautiful. The Charolais cattle are bigger and VERY much calmer than your desert Angus.
Amazing family. Love how the boys stroll out, get on the horses and off they go. Oh, don’t forget that nasty bug spray..lol…poor Ridgey got a taste of it. Quite the adventure, thanks for bringing us along. We live over in Leesburg, not too far where your ranch is.
Awesome video! You guys are doing a great job with your ranch in Nevada and showing cattle ranching in Florida where at one time Florida had more cows than Texas. Florida has a rich ranching history and produces quite a crop of feeder calves every year. Your missing your cow whips to drive that bull out of the brush, do some brush popping. Boy I hate those thistle plants it seems they are getting worse in everyone's pasture.
Great video as always, love how everyone pulls their own weight. Great looking cattle. Throw you a few Black bulls in with those cows. Keep the videos coming
You have cows in two exact opposite locations. One with hardly a drop of water or plants and the other soaking wet and over grown lol. Thanks for the awesome video ABR
Is it better to ranch in Florida where the grass is plentiful or in the desert? It seems like it would save a lot of cost having them in Florida. Love the video. Your children are an amazing bunch of young people. Other kids could learn a thing or two from them.
Great video. I would take the desert over the swamp- any day! Is it my imagination or are these Charolais/Brahna cattle more vocal than your Angus back in Nevada?
If you don't mind how large is your ranch in Florida. Sir i hope they your kids and the whole family won't to do it for next 500 years or so super thanks to you and your whole family i was raised on a 26 acre farm but had to sell it when grandpa passed in1979 but just watching reminds me of the good and bad days again thanks 🙏👍
Ramsey is it easier working cattle in Florida or Nevada. I am sure both have their good and bad points, but overall, which is your preference? I love Ridge, he is such a bright happy little guy. Reminds me a bit of my youngest grandson. Love watching your family!

Thanks for sharing your adventures with all of us.
And awesome to see little Reg wanting to work right along side of ya at his age.
Just being with his dad….. Before my dad passed away when I was 7, I’d follow him around and want to be involved in what he was doing.

Those ol brahmer cross cows sure make a good swamp cow. They have a deeper beller to’em too. High horns and long ears.
Very interesting history of the ranch! Not everyone can say 500 years of ranching. Thanks for sharing. Great video!
🇺🇸 🇵🇪 🇵🇷 Love your family working together!!
Hats off to you and yours, keep up the good work…amazing! I thank you for all of the hard work!!!

When we are in Florida we use Avon Skin So Soft. Wipe it on all exposed area’s about 3-4 times per day. It works for us and a lot cheaper than spray.
