LYRICS:
Verse 1
O how high would I climb mountains
If the mountains were where You hide
O how far I’d scale the valleys
If You graced the other side
Verse 2
O how long have I chased rivers
From lowly seas to where they rise
Against the rush of grace descending
From the source of its supply
Pre-Chorus 1
In the highlands and the heartache
You’re neither more or less inclined
I would search and stop at nothing
You’re just not that hard to find
Chorus
I will praise You on the mountain
And I will praise You when the mountain’s in my way
You’re the summit where my feet are
So I will praise You in the valleys all the same
No less God within the shadows
No less faithful when the night leads me astray
You’re the heaven where my heart is
In the highlands and the heartache all the same
Verse 3
O how far beneath Your glory
Does Your kindness extend the path
From where Your feet rest on the sunrise
To where You sweep the sinner’s past
Verse 4
O how fast would You come running
If just to shadow me through the night
Trace my steps through all my failure
And walk me out the other side
Pre-Chorus 2
For who could dare ascend that mountain
That valleyed hill called Calvary
But for the One I call Good Shepherd
Who like a lamb was slain for me
Bridge
Whatever I walk through, wherever I am
Your Name can move mountains wherever I stand
And if ever I walk through the valley of death
I’ll sing through the shadows my song of ascent
Tag
My song of ascent, whoa, whoa
My song of ascent, whoa, whoa
Pre-Chorus 3
From the gravest of all valleys
Come the pastures we call grace
A mighty river flowing upwards
From a deep but empty grave

Anybody else feel just a little closer to Heaven listening to this song? 😉 The beauty and depth of these words feels so honest and authentic. LOVE. IT.
Today we were punched in our head while cleaning it, so we might not remember our name. Any one else getting punched?
I met Ben in Irving, Tx and he is a great guy, who prayed with me for our church building project. Humble, genuine and concerned for our local church in Gonzales, TX.
Ben Hastings is slowly becoming my favorite musician ❤️
Ben hastings is so poetic
"Jesus: like a Pilgrim in reverse." A gifted poet, this guy.
Ben Hastings is truly gifted! All glory to God.
Benjamin and Joel combo is beyond.... These guys are gifted, the lyrics 😲.. God just bless them!!! 😭 😭 😭
Why does Houston's son say, "why would I lie?" 🔯✝️
I am late to the game. The first time i heard the lyrics my niece had written them out by hand and i thought she wrote them kind of as a sonnet. And it reminded me of an old allegory by Hannah Hurnard “Hinds Feet on High Places” then i listened to the actual song. What a beauty. If anyone reads this, you should read the book. It is 💯worth the time. He is always with us, high or low, above and beyond. He is so so good.
This is the same God that l believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us...That's Jesus. To behold His grace, is to behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Gods delays is not God's denial... Have Faith in Jesus name... Amen➕📖
My late husband is from Falkirk Scotland the time he went home to the Lord i never felt i was alone His provisions never stops and the love of a Father and the comfort He gives never ends .. so i began to travel alone i love long and bumpy rides .. as i go trek and travel this song is perfect to those who loves to spend their time alone .. from Falkirk to the Scottish Highlands is a 5hour travel by bus the longer your travel time is the more your worship is and the more you can praise Him more you feel His touch and His warm embrace .. God bless the song writers more and this channel ❤🙏☝️
i would keep coming back here for my daily dose of Christ.

"Lo que sea que atraviese, donde quiera que este..." Que grandioso, un Dios de oportunidades, aunque no lo merecemos, por su gracia ascenderemos, si nos aferramos a El.
No one is talking about the melody, it's so killer man!!!
