The chunks of ice prick down like a snow blower.
The ice was very brittle as it is late in the ice season.
Luckily I'm rope solo and no one has to belay me in the freezing rain.

Das Eis war sehr spröde, denn es ist spät in der Eissaison.
Zum Glück bin ich Rope Solo unterwegs und keiner muss mich sichern in dem Eisregen.
