Electrifying. Almost like hearing Zen Arcade for the first time. At 0:17 the back of the album cover says "Thanks to Greg Ginn" (!). Ginn is the one who refused to release the master tapes for 30+ years.
I met Bob Mould back in the 80's, at a Black Flag show. We somehow ended up having a deep discussion about literature and philosophy, the guy has read an amazing amount.
Wont Change had already been released on SST's Blasting Concept 2 which i owned back in the day. In fact i had them both. I lost all my vinyl through the years. I had all Hüsker Dü, Black Flag, Sonic Youth on vinyl also. 😕
Actually, "Erase Today" was the Hüskers song on SST's The Blasting Concept II ("Real World" was on T.B.C. #1) - "Won't Change" 1st appeared on John Giorno's label's various artist release _A Diamond Hidden In The Mouth Of A Corpse_ in 1985.
You won't change pure Husker Du sound.
This has to be in the top ten of best music held underground for that period of time.
No one beats this for hardcore tunes
This is brutall. Loud and melodic at same time! But, that gitars, solos, speed....UNBELIEVABLE.
Won’t change is great
I love these songs. Should have been on metal circus. Tragedy that they weren't. Better late than never I suppose
God I love Grant's drumming on this...sounds like Max Roach playing hardcore.
He was the best. _And_ he did amazing vox too...
This is fucking unbelievable
