    The subtitles on this video are really... underperforming. "Godfather academy" - I can't even guess where that came from, the woman actually said her son served as a border guard. The second-to-last woman said she worries about peace, not world, and later mentioned reading literature from pre-war periods ("authors from before WW2 and even before WW1"), not _aboout_ the wars. In all the videos the subtitles have some minor inaccuracies, but in this one the gaffs seem much more significant.

I was limited by census in music, lyrics but this way you could use impressions of what you wanted to say and lyrics had more meanings this way. Since 2000 I live in UK and I can say that I never felt more imprisoned that here. So many rules and no freedom of speech , you can't say anything as it offends other cultures .....or you are racist.....it's just an opinion but you can not say it. You can not just go to the lake and have a camping, bon fire, go pick mushrooms (if you don't have a job)...etc..even when going to the forest you must pay parking fee :) besides everything is private, so your life becomes stupid, just going to work and to shopping centre that's it...freak on the leash. You can afford things but you pay for it with freedom, everything comes to money, money, money. I understand this guys...
    I know back in a day communists were bad and Russia was using all Eastern Europe countries for exploration but from the other hand we all had nothing, but we had a lot of free time and fun. Of course it's not a dictatorship, Lukashenko won sixth term with 81% in favour. Never mind that Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya won first with more than 60% in favour but that was not enough for Lukashenko to validate her win and made her run in exile in another country. Only a democratic country can have such fair elections and leader.

      I have similar experience regarding "patriotism". People from these post-Soviet countries believe that patriotism is about accepting what your leaders say, unconditionally, always. And they are shocked when they see anti-government demonstrations in the West, which are intended to improve the conditions in a country. It takes time for them them to comprehend, that criticism towards your own government can be constructive and patriotic.

I really liked the novel. It was soaked in depression about how everything in Belorus is dieing and degenerating. I knew the Russian soul was supposed to be depressed and hopeless all the time but this was a million times more so. But it made a good atmosphere for a gothic novel. He said: “Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,”
      Freedom of speech etc was also embedded in the Russian & Belorusian constitutions. Putin simply changed the Russian constitution to make it legal for him to be president for life, something explicitly forbidden.

    • @helengolovina4597
      @helengolovina4597 Рік тому +2

      I think it is in almost all constitutions of the world. Paper can take anything. It is about implementing all the freedoms that is important. Some countries and their people are just either too lazy or too stupid to actually make liberty happen. And of course it will be very easy for the politicians to take advantage of that. I believe that every nation deserves its leaders. It is the people that make the country, not some individual leaders.
      I also live in a free country. With very calm and polite police. We have been brought up in a mentality that is us who make that country, every single one of us. The country is not a system someone above that is separate from me. The country is me. And everyone else. Also my dog and my neighbour"s cat. We make it what it is, it is not made FOR us. The mentality in countries like Russia and Belarus is the exact opposite. The state is something separate from people that they have to adapt to. That"s their problem. The change of leaders will not change that because it is not about individual leaders.
