Great video, thanks for this. The small villages in Spain truly keep traditions alive. Long may they continue to do so.. Enjoy your time in Spain Barry.
Hi Barry, a lovely video, I'm Irish, in Dublin when I grew up as a Catholic we were lambasted with the church, processions at Easter, charasmatic masses even in our house 😂, sodality ect. Now there is hardly faith at all left in my country. I think the scandel that rocked the church ruined all of it. I live in Almería now, and I also love seeing semana santa processions, all of it. Really brings me back in touch with my childhood. We could all do with a little more faith in this crazy world❤
I in England went to Easter Sunday Mass but that's where Easter celebrations ends. Your video gave me such joy, you are becoming a truly great film maker. I wish you and your family and everyone around the world a Happy Easter
Thanks so much, Barry, for such a heartfelt and moving video sharing some of the touching Spanish Easter traditions. Wishing you and Karen the happiest of Easters over there in Spain 🇪🇸 🇪🇸
Thank you Barry lovely vlog... I agree with your sentiments completely! I live in Rojales and it to is very traditional. If you have never experienced Maundy Thursdays procession up to the 3 crosses then go next year. It is very eerie and extremely moving.
Absolutely brilliant vlog Barry. Happy Easter to you and family. You just showed what Easter should be all about and reflecting on life and family. Catch up someday soon when I’m over in sunny Spain. Happy Easter everyone 🇮🇪🇪🇸
Tganks for shsring Barry, i attend this every year at La Mata, i love the occasion i too was raised an Irish Catholic im not at all religious but this annually takes me back to my childhood and it makes me stop and think of my late mother as she loved this kind of thing. The band music is very powerfull and emotional
That was amazing Barry. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. It's so nice to see that culture and tradicion still remains in some unspoilt places. Easter in the UK is little more than two extra days off work.
THANKS SO SO much Barry and can I assure you that every day when I am down at MASS I will remember you in my prayers,we have never met in person you are my 'brother' in CHRIST,God bless and keep you and KAREN🇪🇦🇪🇦🥰🙏🙏
Merry Easter Barry,Karen,Ginny.Fantastico the bells.we used to go to Malaga every Easter. Amazing pro session.but us Scot’s did celebrate but more reserved, but love all Spanish festivals.100% all must continue tae follow who or what as once lost very difficult to resurrect.Easter Christmas now..heaven so many come to practice thier faith❤️god bless
Hi both, loving the videos as ever & thanks for giving me the inspiration to do something similar. Will be adding new videos starting at Benalmadena areas this month & also to Torrevieja later this year. Would be great for a little guidance. Keep doing what you’re doing 😉 Cheers PB
Wish I was over there,we were down at our easter vigil last night in glasgow in a half empty Church,I am am almost 74 now (gsm) so maybe not in my time but the faith is still so strong globally, but not in Scotland though there was an orange walk out right past our Catholic Church, but I have peace of mind in knowing thaat our faith will revive, cos,if GOD is for us who can be against us🙏🙏hope you and KAREN have a happy and Blessed Easter🇪🇸🇪🇸💫💫
Beautiful video, we in Scotland are losing so much of our culture, as a Catholic I volunteer in the church of Scotland foodbank, and boy do we need each other at these times ,long may your road run.
Great to see Barry catholism very strong in spain , brought me father to mass there, we both looked at each other and whispered "big numbers today"👨👩👦👦😂 we are all going out for a meal today, have a good day 👍
The reason you get this in Spain but not in Scotland is quite simply because there's no real protestant church to speak of in Spain. Roman Catholicism has been the national religion since The Moors were driven out so there's no "opposition" as it were.
im not religious, just curious, were you on about jesus meeting mary magdolin? or jesus meeting his mother mary after he rose agian after crusifiction? i dont know the story
Mary Magdalene visits the tomb on Sunday morning to find the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. There’s a few tears then Jesus appears and asks Mary Magdalene to tell his disciples he’s here and going back to heaven.
