Every few years I’ll randomly think of this show and completely forget the name. I search the most random keywords until I finally find it. Crazy how I never found this creepy but it seems like it’s engraved into my brain like no other show or cartoon.
I literally remember watching reruns of this show in 2009 when I was little and it was so interesting and it made me happy ty for finding this memory :D
Ugh, I remembered this show as a kid, it was one of my favorites to watch as a 5 year old, so when we didn’t have cable anymore for a good 3 years it made me sad that I couldn’t enjoy it like I once did, but it gives me joy to know that I wasn’t the only one that knew about this show and didn’t make it up 😭😭😭
I had the biggest flashback of my life! I was talking with my wife and for some reason this came to my head, haven’t think about this show in years until today! I loved that show
My grandma introduced me and my brother to Crashbox. Despite of the old animation, this had to be one of the best child educational show. It was ahead of its time!
Today was the day I finally found the name to this Fantastic Kids Show I searched up “kids show where there are robots that live and sing inside a box” And it brought me directly to the name. This was such a touching review with an interesting interview to go with it! I'm a film school student way too old to be watching kids shows, yet I have such a strong fascination with CrashBox. It's the perfect show that you can listen to in the background as you multitask (such as drawing, cleaning, et cetera), yet look up at eventually when you want to see some great animation or funny moments. The first time I watched CrashBox was on a hotel tv because they didn't have PBS Kids and nothing else interesting was on. The episodes stuck with me, yet I forgot about the show until a few years ago when I found out the stop-motion studio, CuppaCoffee, made one of my favorite guilt-pleasure films, A Miser Brothers' Christmas. Comparing the two works, they have a lot in common, from the campy voice performances to the detailed sets and characters to the strange mice-en-scene and styles incorporated in each segment. Watching CrashBox as an adult got me more invested in writing, reading, puzzle solving, and research, which very little shows targeted at an elementary demographic fail to do.
I did the same thing with this show where parts of Crashbox and A Little Curious. I only remembered it when we put on HBO Family channel had reruns of the shows
I remember this show because (I was like 4 at the time), my mom would go to work and put on random tv shows and this one was always on. It scared me so much but, I loved it. I watched reruns so no one else I knew remembered it so I thought I was crazy until I found this vid lmao.
I remember having to stay home one time when I was sick at the age of about 5 or 6, and a rerun of Crashbox came on. It was the most incredible thing my kid brain had ever witnessed, and I spent forever trying to find it again. And I did! ....Ten years too late.

I loved this show as a kid. I've never forgotten anything about it. Today, somebody asked me if I remembered a quirky, odd stop motion show on HBO. I said "Crashbox?" Yep. It was this show. This amazing, odd, brainy show.
I used to watch this all the time as a kid with my mom. we loved doing the learning challenges together. probably why i'm so detailed today. gone but never forgotten
dude when I was like 7 this show was my childhood along with I Spy. they are very nostalgic to me but still creepy. I'd sit on my mom's bed at night watching it.
this show is 5 years older than i am and i just unlocked one of my earliest memories, like not even understanding they were teaching me anything, its just a fever dream of sitting on the ground in front of the tv watching it on demand
With how much I absolutely adore this show and how much of an impact it had on me as a kid I'm surprised I didn't see this video till now. I'm happy I did though because this video despite its length was so well edited, shot, written, and presented that it just blew me away. Thanks as well for reaching out to Adam Shaheen as I had yet to see any kind of behind the scene information or interviews from the crew that worked on it, that was just a cherry on top of everything else to make this the perfect six and a half minutes. I hope some day you return to do some more short form video content like this between making your projects but till then, thank you.
Can I just say the character and set designs are absolutely amazing? Theres so much going on EVERYWHERE, but it's all eye candy and so perfectly detailed! I'm genuinely surprised that this show didn't single handedly make HBO Max go bankrupt.
Thank you for making this video! My six year old LOVES this show on demand and can't get enough (he loved it as a 4 year old too, but is able to get a lot more meaning out of it now and engage with it more directly). I knew there was something special about it and am quite drawn to the animation style, character development, music and sketch writing myself, all top-notch and unique. I'm so happy to have found this niche community of folks who feel the same way. Thank you again for making this thoughtful tribute and great work on the interview.
I’m only 19 and the way Crashbox taught me so much math, new words, problem solving, it really advanced me when I was younger!! Distraction news taught me how to listen without paying attention to the main character(multitasking),learned to pay attention to detail with the detective mugshot and I was a weird kid, Coraline was my favorite movie and THIS was my favorite show ever with all the creepy looking things it always kept me intrigued! Love this show with my whole heart fr
Literally seeing clips of this show again just reminded me of how much I had this show on repeat when my family wasn’t using the TV. Like I completely remember the segments, and I’m so happy to have found the show again, and that I’m not the only one to have watched it.
Dude, Crashbox and Blue's Clues was my Life Blood. I loved everything about it. I miss it and I wish I could find all the others on HBO Family Kids. Also, The Mechanic Robot made me fear the dark. And Word Shake made me sad whenever it was done because I was told that the French Chef died at the end.
I will never forget crashbox. Greatest show of all time. Dad introduced it to me when I was super young. He said it used to be on when he was alive. He’s almost 60 now.
I'm glad to have grown up with Crashbox, A Little Curious, and Happily Ever After Tales. Being exclusively on HBO Family made them like those cool cousins who'd sometimes come to visit, since we didn't always keep premium channels with our cable.
I absolutely loved this show when I was younger. It was always stuck in the back of my mind, but I could never remember. Now I’m rewatching the episodes once again.
I loved the art style of this show as a kid, and still do. Both my sister (4.5 years older) and I would watch it nonstop whenever our parents happened to get a free trial of HBO. Kinda forgot about it until I happened to be scrolling through Max one day, as soon as the opening started I was hit with nostalgia.
I know I'm over a year late to this but I loved crashbox. I was born after it ended but me and my brother would always watch the reruns and we would put on some episodes. I only actually remembered its name and some of the episodes recently but the show definitely made up my younger childhood years and I feel bad for my friends that never watched it
Is there a name for negative nostalgia. It's like I feel the nostalgic feeling of remembering this, but I don't *want* to remember it too. It disturbed me and creeped me out as a kid and felt like a fever dream so remembering it is a bit of a headache. Thanks for making this btw, loved the vid.
"And it's time for crashbox rewind where we flashback through the show and remind you how smart you really are"....flashes back to when I was a young kid eager to learn.

Crashbox was my favorite show, and it’s still is today. Crashbox will always be in my heart.
I also liked Happily Ever After: Tales For Every Child.
This has always been in the forefront of my brain. Just like the robot who still hasn't eaten all three doughnuts, only one...
I will never forget crashbox. Greatest show of all time. Dad introduced it to me when I was super young. He said it used to be on when he was alive. He’s almost 60 now.
Damn! Good dad
I grew up on crashbox. Best stuff of all times
I remember this show vividly. Haven’t forgot at all
This show was honestly one of my favorite shows as a kid
*you feel filled with nostalgia*
I'm glad to have grown up with Crashbox, A Little Curious, and Happily Ever After Tales. Being exclusively on HBO Family made them like those cool cousins who'd sometimes come to visit, since we didn't always keep premium channels with our cable.
YES YES YES YES NONE OF MY FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT IT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS NOW I KNOW IM NOT ALONE
Crashbox was one of the only shows I used to watch- I LOVED the show, and I am so happy that people are putting this on UA-cam!
OMFG Someone just reminded me of this because they mentioned it on tiktok and your description is literally exactly how I've felt for years 😭😭😭
