2012 to 2018 Ford Focus Transmissions Control Module (TCM) part 1

What's up, Team! Today we're working on a Ford Focus, replacing the TCM. The owner of the Focus mentioned it was making a funny noise and had a check engine light on. She got the code for the check engine light which was P0702 - Transmission Control System. After doing some research I found that the TCM is a common issue in this generation Focus and it's the TCM that causes the issue. I let the owner know I could reboot the TCM or we could install a new one, which I would still need to flash program it to work with the Focus. We replaced the TCM. Now since it's a common issue a new TCM is on back order at the dealership, which I recommend doing. Yes it's expensive but you don't want to go after maker with something like this.
This video is the installation of the TCM. There will be a separate video on how to flash or program the new TCM. Below is a link of the socket set I used to do this job.
