Based on all the positive UA-cam videos I was expecting more. Maybe I’m missing something. For those have used it, am I missing something

Hi Greg, If you're up for it, we'd love to hop on a call with you to dig into what is happening with your edits. Our AI does look at each photo and perform edits as needed to provide consitency across a project. Certain parameters will be fixed for consistency whereas others will vary from photo to photo. The differences depend on many factors including how the profile was trained as well as what photos the AI is editing. Additionally there has been a Lightroom Classic bug out for a few months that they just today (November 30, 2023) patched, related to the edits you see when navigating photo by photo. So it's possible the issue you are having is a combination of assumptions versus how the AI actually works, as well as a Lightroom bug which they only just fixed. With that said, Imagen may not be for everyone, and we get it. But we'd still love to chat and dig into it with you.

I agree with you that many UA-cam Influencers are hand in hand with Imagen folks to push their sales and commissions. I would rather use the Auto feature on LR and apply those settings across all photos on a particular scene.

Just after observing their approach to marketing and ads, I had a gut feeling that it was merely an overpriced preset sale. So, I jumped on YT to look for something like what you've done in this video. Thank you, sir. I find it unethical on Imagen's side; it's upsetting how this kind of business thrives and extracts money from photographers. Also, massive minus karma points to every person advertising it.
Curious if you reached out to customer service and what they said? I've used the service a few times for very small batches of photos and didn't have this issue. I got bespoke edits to each image. Seems like a bug or something that didn't happen correct with the workflow.
I thought exactly the same. They were the same settings all the way through. Just minor adjustments done to photos for my preference but other than that they were all the same.😮
I'm not finding much benefit for the cost either. I shoot a lot of public events so may take 1800-2300 photos at one event. I uploaded enough similar content to build my own profile (instead of using one of theirs) and ran a couple of events through it (using the free trial photos) to see what it would do. Now, on the photos I ran through the profile builder, I had multiple adjustments made through mask adjustments (like selecting the background and lowering the exposure to separate the subject from the background) and it appears to totally ignore them. When I ran my photos through the AI editing it basically applied my standard preset to each photo and made little adjustments to the "Basic" sliders to make them look consistent. It did NOT apply any masks, color grading or calibrations or try to replicate any of the masks settings (background exposure, skin smoothing, eye enhancement, etc.). These are the things that make the photos pop and the things that take the most time. I can do what it did to the basic sliders in about the same amount of time (catalog building, uploading, waiting, downloading timee), but I was looking for help with the more time consuming things like figuring out what the subject is, how to make it pop from the other things around it, adjusting the colors more to make them pop. I am very disappointed with what the AI can do for me to reduce my workload.
I think what you are doing wrong is that you didn’t put all the photos through imagen and that how I think it should work. Not use one photo then copy and paste. After you copy over the settings the AI is not involved anymore, so it will not change the settings for each photo. I would give that a try.

All I know for sure about AI is that, according to the US Vice President, "First of all, AI is two words - cackle, cackle."
I wish the photos were perfect. But definitely not the case.
Don't know the program, but when you pick the filtering at the begining of the "AI" run, are you just picking the settings to be applied to your folder? This to me would be akin to applying a lutte (sp?) to the folder.
Can you run the photos without that step, allowing the "AI" to process without predetermining settings?

Well all the photos get uploaded to a server. So if it was just about then what would the upload be needed for. That’s the confusing part.

I was thinking the same thing... why not just cut and paste your preset in LR. However, the one thing that you have not tested is making adjustments after downloading the imagen profiled catalog, making adjustments in LR and then sending back to imagen to learn. If it learns that you like to add contrast in certain situations and then builds upon that for the next time then i think AI could be at play. i also heard you have to load 3000 photos to learn your style and then it will start applying the magic. Thanks for the vid and putting this program to the test.
