Indeed this is the most important point of our deen that needs to be grasped at first! It is the reason that when one converted to Islam, his or her sins become all forgiven because he or she negates in everything and accept the only One being, Allaah the exalted. And subsequently when the sheikh start educating him or her about who is Allah, tears Start flowing from the eye due to shirk that he or she has committed.

Don't wait for response from Madinah Uni bro - just start learning at IOU ASAP or when you finish high school. Once you get accepted later inshaaAllaah, what you learn at IOU of Arabic and Islamic Studies, will make learning in Madinah easier. Telling from experience. Salaam.
