    Can the thatching be a fire hazard in the hot tropics?

      yes it can, but there are few other options that will keep you dry so we're just really careful. we pretty much never have a fire insidethe shelter unless it's pretty large. the one in this video was just to show it.

      @@dissident_media honestly the only people that get fire damage to their property in the tropics are the ones that aren't careful. Once you maintain your surroundings properly even the driest drought can be without fire
