Posthumanity on Mercury

When technology reaches its physical limits, humanity's break from natural selection will end. Innovation will be forgotten, and we'll settle into an ecosystem constrained by energy and resources. Our automated utopia will be snuffed out by automated systems without humans to parasitize them. What remains will value efficiency above all else, often abandoning consciousness for the sake of efficiency.
