@@KasyanTV can you please make a "generalized" video about "how to" convert a three-phase tig welder into a single-phase please ? and also how to change the standard accepted voltages a welder is designed to run off into the voltage you require for your country /power source. As there are countless used cheap , powerful 3 phase welders available online that no one buys because 3 phase is rare an to expensive to get installed in residential houses, surely you know of a way to do these things

I'd like to see a video like this about building a lower amp DC machine that I could rig for TIG welding of sheet metal. Accurate control from 0-say 60 amps would be needed. Most TIG machines on the market are 135amp plus and don't have good control below 40amps.
Im here because I bought one of those $60 arc welding inverters off eBay and hooked it up to 240vac when it was only meant for 120vac.😬 As far as I can tell only damage is a big capacitor right after the rectifier on the mains input. Hope I can bring it back...
an easy way to fix it is...... 1)dip fingers in a glass of water and touch the live wire with your index an thumb while holding onto a microwave bag of popcorn. 2) if that doesn't fix your capacitor problem, then get a bigger fucking hammer and give the welder some love taps 3) And swearing always helps too
Hi there, I edited the English subtitles for you. Google auot generated subtitles had a bit of trouble with technical terms saying Diets instead of Diodes. I have submitted this for your approval. Thanks for providing a detailed video.
What is the duty cycle and is it possible to further improve it by installing larger copper heatsinks or going watercooled all together, please reply. Thanks.
Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just use a old school transformer? And maybe a circuit similar to a vfd, to regulate the output? Using a rectifier, and capacitor for DC output? This is a cool project, I wish I had the funding to go to China, and buy components!!
how fast is your soft start turning "OFF" coz if it is to slow to turn off you could have problems getting your weld to start!!! do you even need a soft start?? p.s. I love your channel you always have class projects to keep any armature like me busy... keep um coming,, KASYAN RULES!!

good day sir. I am a fan of yours since your subscription is 5k a few years ago. sir may I request you upload the files in SPRINT LAYOUT because one of your archives files was corrupt. please reupload the latest sprint layout, sir. thanks
Very nice project. However I think you may have a problem. The rectified 325VDC is also supplying the UC3844 via a small value R11 47 Ohm resistor. You also have a winding for the local auxiliary power the 47 Ohms must be changed to about 150KOhms. Then this will also cause startup problems so the capacitors on pin 7 should also be adjusted. Is that why you added the small external power supply?
@@YTANDY100 Thanks. i just noticed it. It says 100X = 4700 Ohms. Even that is not enough. it allows 69mA to flow to the IC which can not take more than 30 mA. He really needs to put a 150K resistor. This will allow about 2 mA to start the chip which only needs 0.5mA to start. Then when the chip starts it will get current from the LM7824 in order to run. Again, LM7824 is too much. He should use LM7812 or LM7815. I have designed many low and high power supplies from 1 watt with input voltage of 400 Volts with Vout = 500 Volts, to 125KVA for Electric Vehicle traction motors but I dont think he will look at my comments.
Yes. I used such a transistor, replacing the gate resistor with 11 ohms. everything works perfectly. but better read the datasheet, the characteristics may vary depending on the manufacturer
Sure! But you have to periodically charge that 12v battery so that you can weld with it. My problem with Kasyan's DC welder is that it is too complex. Why not just use a MOT? Remove the high voltage secondary winding and replace it with a few turns of very thick wire for a low voltage secondary. Problem solved.
@@foureyedchick yeah that sounds easy too..i still prefer playing dc with batteries instead... but i think you need at least 36volts of 12 in series to do a proper welder..
